Does anyone plan on making a thread for Dark Souls 2 PC? For a game entrenched in community discovery, I can see the (probable) gap between console and PC release ruining that a bit if we use the same OT.

I'm not calling it, if someone else wants to make the thread, I'd prefer it in all honesty :P

Huh, Nemesis... I swear The Order 1886 wasn't in the OP before I replied. I even did ctrl + F! :P

I did notice Possum claimed R&C Nexus as well but didn't end up making it in the end. I'd like to know if he will do The Order 1886.

I guess the best thing to do is PM him. It's quite some time away so I'm not 100% sure.

Did you search below the OP? There is a post on the same page which has all games with a "general" release date.

I have seen OTs for stuff like the Final Bozman, Yahtzee, AVGN, Etc, and was thinking about making an OT for Classic Game Room as he does allot of videos for games of previous/current generation stuff, but also Pinball tables, controllers, and systems.

Mark is one of the only reviews who I watch on a regular basis, and I had not seen an OT for CGR so I thought I would ask.

The threads for Bosman and the like aren't OTs, those are specifically used for games, movies, etc. You can make a thread for Classic Game Room without having to call it an OT or post anything here.

I feel now's the appropriate time to claim it. Seems fair. They're due for 2014, supposedly.

*I'll be on a requested ban from GAF for 2 months.

What? You knew that I already called for Super Smash Bros Wii U and 3DS ever since 2012. You contacted me about the matter. Should I screenshot the conversation here?

http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost...ostcount=11815

http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost...ostcount=11818

Edited: I apologized that I didn't make any post here because I didn't even know that this thread exists at all until someone mentioned it at Project M 3.0 thread. I'm not sure if Mr. Fix intended to trying to make the claim over my claim or he simply forget but I would appreciate it very much if I would retain the ownership over Super Smash Bros 4 (Wii U and 3DS) because I called for it first and I already made the conversation with Mr. Fix. He offered to do graphic works for SSB4, but I told him that I would rather to work on myself but if his art work is way better than mine then I would use his.

I chose to not do Project Melee 3.0 OT and I dropped Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 just for Super Smash Bros 4 OT because I would like to make SSB4 OT as my first OT. I know it sound weird but it meant a lot to me.

I apologized again for the inconvenience.

I know. If you didn't put it in the last update, I must have missed it. I just tried the OP and general releases with ctrl f "1886" but maybe I did a typo like 1887 or something.

When you say formally announced Nemesis, that means with a trailer or details right? Not just devs confirming a game is in development? I'm starting to wonder because I see the Tomb Raider reboot sequel has been claimed (no info on the game, but it has been announced), and we had this Smash Bros problem.

It was before the new rule yes, but for references in to he future I feel I should ask this. Smash was announced at E3 2011, but with nothing more than the platforms it was coming to. Would the formal announcement be the E3 2013 trailer? That's when we actually got some real details on the game.

Why don't you two split the OTs? One does the Wii U one, and the other the 3DS. Seems fair instead of one taking both since you both really want to make it.

I actually don't mind, I'm getting really busy with school/studies. At the time though, I found it kind of bullshit to call an OT out of the blue, especially since I was waiting for the official reveal. Plus Heath's done a great job with managing the current community thread.

Well, so far we know that only difference between SSB3DS and SSBU is stages, so we have no clue how difference they are. I seriously doubt that they would be complete different versions. Good Example would be Pokemon X and Y.

Sorry about that, but SSB4 (Wii U and 3DS) officially announced during E3 2011. I assumed that would be okay to called for that. Then E3 2012, they confirmed that Namco-Bandai and Nintendo teamed up to working on SSB4 and it was in early prototype. Thank you. To hear that word actually flattered me since it's not easy to keep the topic clean as I can.

Not trying to start anything because I know Heath's work for the Smash Bros community and he's really cool and all that but there's a reason why this thread and its rules exist and to be honest and completely objetive, you have more right to do the OT than him since you used the correct format to do so.

That and the fact that he will work on it all by himself leaving you guys out is not helping at all.

Anyway, my two cents. Nothing personal against Heath. Just expressing what it seems fair.

Again, the mods have said that there is no such thing as 'claiming' OTs. This thread is really just an expression of interest. The idea that you can claim OTs at all, let alone years in advance is the most ridiculous thing ever.

It's an expression of interest so others can perhaps coordinate with you. Nobody is entitled or has ownership over a particular OT.

I have the INTERSTELLAR OT marked for a year from now. Do I own that right to make it? Absolutely not.

No offense, but I want to apologized for any form of drama in advance.

Roo, Nothing taken, but honestly, how is it fair if we didn't know that we have to make a claim in this thread if we don't really hanging out at Gaming Community Forum and it's not in the NeoGAF FAQS and Rules?

I have been member for this forum for five years, and I have seen many people being respectful to each other about claiming the OT without THIS thread, I'm pretty sure. To see that this thread was created in 2011 as I checked. Along with the fact that I rarely check Gaming Community Forum and I didn't even see or being aware of this thread once until someone mentioned it in Project M 3.0 thread. Yeah, when people made the OT threads and I always subscribed it and checked my subscribed list.

How can it be fair enough that you would willing to support someone that could potentially swiped the OT away from original claimer that are not aware of /OT/ /OT/ thread. It didn't even mentioned in FAQS or Rules, so that's where it's flawed. If /OT/ /OT/ is actually official then it should be sticky for everyone to see and being knowledge by but it didn't.

I'm not trying to throw anyone under the bus. I'm using this fake scenarios. If you (Roo) made the claim for /OT/ on your favorite game franchise and you didn't even aware of the existence of /OT/ /OT/. Awhile you made the claim, no one bothered to tell you that you need to make a registeration to claim the OT of specific video game. A month later, someone who knew that you made the claim but decided to make his own claim on /OT/ thread of possibility swiping the OT away from you. How would you feel? I'm pretty sure that you wouldn't be okay with it.

To avoid this situation to happens again, then moderators need to make this thread more official and stick it to top so people would know the rules, rather than being hid in the Community Forum where some of members don't really flocking around. Or ask Moderator to add the rules to FAQ/Rules thread so people would know ahead of time.

Roo, I'm mortified that you are not willing to understand my position, and I'm pretty sure that there are many people that made claims for varieties of games without posting it here because they have respect/honor system. Also I think you should leave it alone instead of beating dead horse since Mr. Fix dropped the claim. I never planned to do OT by myself, and you misunderstood my statement about working alone. Read again, please.

Ironically, I was planned to ask Mr. Fix to helping me out with OT but he got himself banned for few months so I have no way to contact him. Unfortunately, I forget all about asking Mr. Fix until now.

But it is in the FAQ. First stickied thread is the rules for creating OTs, and inside that thread is a link to this one telling you that you should announce it here.

You been here for 5 years but never looked into how people coordinate OTs? I haven't even been here a year, but when I wanted to make an OT I found my answer by checking the FAQ and that's how I got here. If there was no thread like this, too many people would be making the same OTs.

Honestly, I have seen people coordinating OTs in hype thread or news threads, and they never made any references for this thread until Project M 3.0 thread. I guess people worked differently in most of threads that I have been visited frequently. Once again, I apologized for my mistake. I didn't realized that Evilore posted a new thread based on OT. Last time I checked it wasn't there so I'm pretty sure that it was way before March 2012. I will keep it in my mind but it's more likely that SSB 3DS and Wii U are going to be my first and last OT. I apologized for the inconvenience.

Like I said in my first post, I'm not trying to start anything so your comment about
beating a dead horse was tacky and uncalled for. It was my point of view, it was never
my intention to take the Smash Bros OT away from you by any means but you're acting like if it was a matter of life of death.

Didn't know you loved the franchise so much so there's that and I'm sure you will make
an amazing OT because I expect no less but don't forget you're doing it for fun.
And please, don't refrain yourself from doing more OT. I've enjoyed all the Smash Comunity threads so far.

It's not too late to reserve the hypothetical Smash Bros sequel for the hypothetical next-next-gen Nintendo console. Or has someone already done that? Better check first...

I wouldn't say that it's matter of life or death. I have no excuse for my behavior in this thread but I really have personal reasons for myself to do OT for SSB4. I'm not refraining myself with OT at all, and I still have my reasons for this as well. I already apologized for my incident if people were bothered by this situation.
