that guys is awesome, WTF happened with the decisions to put the people on QoS they did. Most everything in the movie wasn't good, the editing, directing, cinematography. Dan was the only good thing in it. I may need to watch some of Sam movies again. I haven't watched anything since Revolutionary Road .

Roger Spottiswoode (Tomorrow Never Dies), Michael Apted (The World is Not Enough) and
Lee Tamahori (Die Another Day) all had some acclaim prior to being hired to direct. They were also very much outside of the Eon family (a tradition they broke for Goldeneye..wisely too).
