There will be 60,000 people at the convention. You're never alone. Make some new friends.

Also, if we do a GAF meet-up, when/where would people prefer to do it? I imagine Thursday night might be nice since it's an unofficial day but not everyone might get there that day. Would Friday or Saturday night be preferable?
PM sent.

I'll def. come to a meet up, but I probably won't be able to make it to Pax during the day with school and then getting ready for exams. But hitting up some bars in the evening on any day would be awesome. I live down the street.

A GAF meetup would be great, I can tell everyone in person why their choice of video games is bad. A live re-enactment of the "Raise the Flame Shield" thread. Cannot meetup on Thursday though.

GAF meetup is a definite. I could get together on Friday only though. The girlfriend is coming Saturday and I don't want her to meet any of you guys. A chill spot like the handheld lounge would be neat to talk since there wouldn't be any distractions.
e: SEGA also just tweeted they'll be at PAX. Rhythm Thief demo PLEASE. Nevermind their list of showoffs are: - Sonic 4 Episode 2 - Jet Set Radio - Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown - Virtua Tennis Challenge - Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing (Mobile) - Hell Yeah - House of the Dead 4 - Aliens Colonial Marines

Saturday would be preferable. The PAX Prime meet up last time was saturday night at the Fox Sports Grill(?), and it was a fun time of drinking and dining.

And no, no one had nametags. I'm not going to run around wearing a name tag. Don't know will there be one: the excuse at Prime was that they're out of space, but what really happened was that board/card games expanded (which is a-ok in my books). It's hard to tell if either of those will happen unless Harmonix actually gets some extra space to dedicate such an area.

Seems like people are split between Friday and Saturday. Would a meet-up on both days be too much? I figure that way people might be able to get to go whatever day is best for them even if there's not much or zero overlap.
Yeah I'll probably put the meet-up in the official thread when I make it next week. Rule is two weeks before the event for threads of that nature right? Hm. |

Wooo~ Can't wait for PAX East. I'll be there along with TwitchTV. It's going to be our first major booth showing so it should be really exciting. You guys should totally stop by and check it out. We're going to have regular shows at our booth throughout the weekend featuring a lot of notable broadcasters. Hope to have a schedule soon.
Also related, tonight is the last night to enter our PAX East Gamer Getaway contest, for a trip for two (flight + hotel + 3-day pass + extra goodies) to the event. If you're interested, click the "Win a trip to PAX East" tab on our facebook. |

From what I remember from PAX East 2011, there are only a few bars in walking distance, and they're all going to be pretty packed. I could be wrong as I don't know the area all that well, but we wandered pretty far and didn't find much.

I'm going to make the Official Thread on Thursday most likely. I would really like to hammer out details for an official GAF PAX East meet-up to put in there.
Does anyone object to having one each on Friday and Saturday and people can pick which one(s) that fits their schedule better? And also since someone else mentioned there's not much in terms of bars, would people want to meet up somewhere at the actual convention? |

I rather take a poll, and pick one to set a firm date. Setting two up just invites people to choose later, and then no one shows up for either.

The Giantbomb live show is Sat night and they'll probably have a meet-up afterwards. Just FYI, might eat into any GAF meetups (I'll probably be attending that). |

Hm, only going to be out there on Sunday, no meetups for me I suppose. I'll be wearing a black Activision hoodie if you want to say hi. Only panel I'm really hoping to see is the State of the Game one but I imagine it will be packed.
Anyone else going to be at Brown/RISD's games expo the following weekend? Going to be down there too scouting for interns. |

You can sell it, they aren't personalized, but with the rampant counterfeiting last year it'll be a bit tricky to do so successfully.
