I loved on the latest podcast how Norm said something like "ICS is getting mostly positive reviews, from people who like Android" and that was about the extent of the Galaxy Nexus/ICS talk lol. Every review of ICS and the Galaxy Nexus I have seen has been raving. If it was a new iPhone and iOS release they would have spent the whole podcast talking about it.

I couldn't disagree more with the discussion of Thursday shopping. If people want to shop (and early numbers indicate they absolutely did) they the stores should be open. I never understood why stores close on certain holidays. There is no such thing as a universal holiday any longer.

While a somewhat fair point, no one is forced to work on any holiday. Request off as early as possible or don't work retail. Seems logical that if you are working in a store you'd be expected to work when customers want to shop. I have slightly more sympathy for employees this Thanksgiving since it's the first time it really has been done, but going forward I have zero.

Will: Literally, if you look at that promo page for Kindle Fire on Amazon, it hits the same notes as the iPad does
Gary: Isn't that like reviewing the new Honda Civic and saying, 'Well this doesn't have the same performance as the Audi R8?' Will: What I'm telling you is, if Honda was saying, 'Hey look, this car is faster than the Audi R8' and you go out and race it against the R8 and it is not faster than the R8 in some way- Gary: Is that what Amazon was saying? Will: Ultra fast web browsing, dude Flawless logic. |
