I know you've got the shit home situation, but I mean, I got my degree wearing my hat every day every winter. And this was western New York, where we really had winter. Worst I got was jokes about Easter. People are surprisingly indifferent about those around them.

Yeah, I wear my (snow leopard) hat pretty much every day in the winter. Nobody ever gives a shit, the worst I get is awkward stares, and it makes meeting other furs pretty simple.

For me, each year the furry group would get a decent batch of new faces, but they'd largely peter out after a few weeks. Pretty much the same as any club, really. I don't know that the number of furs is growing with each year or anything, though I wouldn't entirely doubt it. It seems like much of the most ardent anti-fur commentary has dissipated over the years chiefly because people got bored and started annoying other people. (Or I could just be perceiving it differently. Who knows!)

Pffft. There's no club here. We're too lazy for that. There's just a number of people who I've befriended who revealed it later, and a number of people who make it completely obvious and act like dickheads about it in public places. Fursecution, etc etc etc.
