Probably because while your average pedestrian isn't going to note down your license plate as you drive by, the internet (and especially large forums like NeoGAF) are full of wannebe-detectives who tend to dig up private information based on just your plates and make it public for the lulz. For examples, see Anonymous.

I got a grammar question too. Which one of these sentences is correct? Or are they both correct?
Don't bring food in the library. Don't bring food into the library. "Into" sounds correct to me but is "in" correct as well? The use of "in" makes it sound like the person is already inside of the library, therefore he can't bring in anything, that why it sounds incorrect to me. But can anyone give me a proper grammatical justification for why it is right or wrong? |

RELAYER: Infinitive, perhaps? I have no formal education in this, but that would be my call. Not that sentences really have a tense. The tense is in the verb (start) and the words that it affects, such as if you threw a 'working' on the end. You can treat the 'might as well' as an auxiliary verb, I think, so that fits. |

I remember a pic that showed different images when opened in a browser and when opened in word. Anyone know where to find a pic like that?

On a daily forecast when you see the "High" and "Low" numbers are the "Low" numbers regarding the morning or the evening? I've never been able to tell.
05/09/2012 High: 79 Low: 49 Is the temp going down to 49 tonight or was it this morning that it was supposed to be 49 as a low? |

HTML question:
How does one create what is shown in this Twitch.TV user's info section? There's a custom background, with buttons on top, and nice frames... I want to create something similar. I know how to make the buttons and such, but not in a fancy layout like that. |

So, when people use the phrase 'been sober for X days/months/years', do they mean 100% no drinks/drugs at all?
Does that mean I can't call myself sober if I drink once or twice a week? I'm just confused by the terminology. I use the term sober to describe my current state. As in, I drank on Friday, got trashed, and am at this instant, sober. In fact, I've been sober (as in, not under the influence) since Saturday morning. Sounds like in the first meaning, the term has been reappropriated to refer to a lifestyle instead of a state of intoxication. Or....do they actually mean that when they weren't 'sober', they were intoxicated to some degree like, every waking minute of every day? |

I'm fixing to pick up some posters from etsy that I'd like to get 'framed' and by framed I just mean that they're not completely exposed to the elements. What's the cheapest way of doing that? I'd be okay with just getting something I could slide them into that could hang on the wall.

I remember being a lurker here and there was this really funny comic that I can't find. It was about this anime guy sitting across some anime girl in a train. They're both conflicted on revealing their feelings for each other. At the end there's a twist where this incident was a dream fabricated by some fat guy and he says"That's totally why I don't have a girlfriend". Does anybody have the full version?

Ok, for my bday yesterday I got a 25 dollar iTunes gift card. I like most modern rock, some modern mainstream rap, old classical, some pop. With that said I'm kinda looking for classical but I am up for any reccomendations. As far as classical goes I have on stipulation. I'm not really fan of violin in classical unless it's kind of hidden and is not the main instrument. Also, as far as classical I'm wanting more loud classical where it feels like waves crashing when your listening. Anyways, gaf can your reccomned me some music based on what I'm asking for?

Recently, a lot of YT videos have their sound distorted for me. It's not all videos, only some. One video will be crystal clear, but the next will be all sorts of distorted. As if my speakers can't handle the level of sound. It's always the same videos. This is a recent issue. Videos that were crystal clear a month ago no longer are.
Any one know what the issue is and how I can fix it? It's beyond obnoxious. |
