There were two bathing/showering threads on GAF. One about giving up soap and shampoo and another about taking cold showers. I've given up soap and shampoo for the past 2-3 months and I've been taking cold showers for the past month. I'm thinking about walking up to random girls in bars, asking them how I smell, and recording their answers as favorable, unfavorable and indifferent on a Google docs spreadsheet. I've thought about categorizing the women I ask but I don't know if I want to do it by ethnicity or hotness. Maybe both.

Now I've asked a few people how I smell already, namely my mom, some friends and a girl I fucked on Sunday and they were all surprised when I told them I hadn't used soap and shampoo in 2 months.

Anyone think this is an endeavor worth pursuing?

Have an odd problem in Vista..

speakers work fine, sound scheme looks normal, laptop plays the windows theeme when it starts..but all other sounds don't work...

I just need my laptop to beep when the battery is low but I can't get it to work.

When I click on "test sound" nothing happens..

any ideas?

Oh btw..I just realized recently that when you press ctrl+b it automatically bolds the highlighted text..does anyone know what I have to press to spoiler-tag that way?

Upper 20s but I'm Asian. I've looked the same minus weight fluctuations for the past 10 years.

Is there a way to warm up sushi? Krogers has good sushi at good prices. The only problem is they use the produce in store so both the packaged stuff and the stuff the chef makes is colder than I like. Can I leave it out to get to near room temp? Microwave it slightly? I'm not interested in dying.

Best answer I found for this was it is OK to leave it out for 10-15 minutes, but not OK to leave overnight and not OK to nuke it. I'll give that a try.

If the aliens didn't just wipe us out, they would probably exploit our divisions to get the resources they wanted with minimal effort (ie have a few cooperating humans control the rest of us). It could have already happened.

Sure there would be some unification of humanity, but the two don't have to be mutually exclusive. Maybe someone who isn't racist could be xenophobic/"specist"(speciest? hm), but someone who is already racist would probably just be that much more discriminatory towards an alien species than the average person.

I wouldn't recommend using Apple TV/iTunes exclusively. But a combo of that, Netflix and Hulu would cover an awful lot of bases. The big things you would miss out on is sporting broadcasts and premium channels like HBO.

Because of the heat? The do have an awful lot of fur! I did voluntary work with a dog sanctuary for awhile and we got a lot of huskies in. Gorgeous dogs but a right handful! Need lots of exercise and cope very badly with being left alone. If you do decide it's okay to go ahead, I wish you well with him/her :).
