Really? My brothers yellow lab destroys everything but she chomps away on tennis balls and never seems to destroy them. Maybe she likes em so much she doesn't want to ruin them?

My dog taught me that the fur on tennis balls can be ripped off which was mind blowing at the time. He then proceeded to literally eat the tennis ball. Weirdo dog.

It entertained him for hours though.

Why do certain trucks advertise on the vehicle that they're only two wheel drive? Being that its a truck, wouldn't this be something to keep quiet about?

A question about a wedding invitation I've received. We're supposed to respond, with the number attending. There's a part I have to fill out that's confusing me. The invitation simply has an M and a blank line after it.

M__________________

Now, I know that's to fill in your title like Mr. or Mrs., but I'm not sure how it works for a married couple. Is it

r. and Mrs. Smith

r. Smith and Mrs. Smith

r. Isaac Smith and Mrs. Smith

or

r. Isaac Smith and Mrs. Shaniqua Smith

Is there a show-and-tell type thread where you can show off your creations to GAF? I made a souped-up Asteroids game (Pac Man Championship DX treatment, sort of) and I thought I would put it up here so somebody might get some fun out of it.

I would go with that one but all of them convey the same thing- you're going with your wife which is what they care about.

If it's fun, it might be thread worthy as long as it doesn't seem to be selling something.

"r. and Mrs. Isaac Smith" is what I would do, actually. Your last name is Smith and the table placements might be confusing if there are more Smiths and you leave out your first name.

This is what I was concerned about because who knows how common that last name can be.

I was thinking they are knew who you were since you got the invitation. My wedding invitations were not nearly that fancy. We invited who we wanted and they marked yes and how many and we had a place for them in the seating arrangement.

They would have a setting for your wife too if they didn't know here. Like I said, it doesn't matter because they will likely have it covered.

Anyone ever ordered something from Valve's store? I bought a few things on 12/30, and the package was shipping on 12/31. The tracking number has been updated since then, the last status being "Arrived at FedEx location" in Troutdale, OR (package is coming to me in MD). I usually don't worry about this kind of thing, but it's been a while without it updating, and I have never bought from them before. Anyone else bought from the Valve Store and had a similar experience?

Until you get to 0° Kelvin (about -270 ° Celsius) , the object still has some heat.

Heat is basically movement; the fundamental particles of matter constantly move around (vibrate), which gives off heat. Therefore you could say that extreme cold is just the absence of movement. At 0° Kelvin, matter stops vibrating. Entropy causes all matter to slow their thermal vibration over time, but you'd be hard-pressed to find a place in the universe that isn't affected by some kind of heat source (stars and stuff), so practically nothing ever reaches 0° Kelvin.

I have my PC hooked up to a receiver with full range front speakers and small rear speakers. In Windows 7 audio configuration, do I have to configure the rear speakers as full range or limited?

I'm asking this because I've already set the receiver to account for this. So it isn't necessary to do it in windows right?

Not just that, but the second and third laws of thermodynamics state that it's impossible to ever get to absolute zero.

I think you should set them to small speakers on the PC as well, that way if you select 'direct' output from the amp you won't get any signals sent to speakers which are out of the range the speakers could support.

On my Yamaha I have Pure Direct, which doesn't touch anything. Never use it. And I have straight, which does run stuff past the DSP which I have calibrated with the built in tool. This is what I use.

My pc's audio goes "BUZZ" sometimes, for example when I watch a youtube video, the sound may go "buzz" for a second.

Is there a reason for this?

Edit:Actually it's not a buzzing sound! It sounds like the audio is failing for a second and then goes back to normal.

Perhaps it's Youtube?

Sounds unlikely that it's youtube. Then it must be a buggy flashplayer or browser. Should be easy to check? Listen to something else and see if it happens?

If it does, there could be a bujillion reasons. Hardware error is the reason in most of those, so it might be time to get a new sound-card or similar.

What is this and why am I seeing it at the bottom of some pages?

I have not installed anything recently and do not know how my system could have been compromised. Google turns up useless results

e: seems to appear when Auto Pager polls a new page, but I still can't find any information on it based off that

Why are store security cameras and surveillance cameras still so crappy? Digital camera technology has made huge advances in the last decade and I have an 8MP camera on my phone, but every time I see a local news story with footage from a bank or convenience store or train station's security cameras, they're all still using the same useless grainy black-and-white tape with the resolution of VHS.

Probably takes up too much storage space if it's high quality.

This is changing. The cameras are built for speed and long 24 hr storage periods rather than resolution. However, as you stated the camera qualities are getting better all the time. In banks, it's very expensive to switch out though. We just switched and the difference is amazing. We can see tattoos and other features that were impossible to see before. plus we can just go to our computer and see the issue so more eyes can witness the event.

It's come to my attention, and therefore is an important ingredient I need to mix into my cake or post.
So many girls say 'bye' twice when saying 'bye' on the phone, i talked to a pretty chauvinistic friend about this today, and he mentioned something about some women having a subconcious goldfish syndrome, they have a huge stm complex or words to that effect. Basically, 'goldfish syndrome' is a new one to me.

The other one is probably an accomplice by default, unless they were trying to stop the other, but then it would seem unlikely that the first one succeeded... though the charge for attempt would be interesting.

Guilty of it or not, being an accomplice carries a less severe sentence then straight up murder.
