I do agree with the identity correlation notion. But yea, at least you picked a solid artist to have champion your identity. Lets hope he continues to show talent!

I definitely recognize that one and immediately associated it with your username.

Yeah identity conservation is a key factor for me. I only change my avatar if and when I'm truly sick of the old one and have a found a suitable long term replacement. Or if I'm forced to change my avatar due to circumstances.
On other boards I used to change my avatar on a whim. Whatever was the flavour of the month, but I've been here for so long and recognize how your avatar really factors into your identity om GAF. Which is why I want to maintain avatar recognizability.
