I guess I could track down a copy of Samurai Warriors Chronicles. I have wanted to play that but don't want to pay full price for that at this point in time. Just iffy on how it really looks since there is no real direct feed video of the game.

Edit:

Okay trying to decide between these three. Any idea which has the most content?

Nano Assault
Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy
Star Fox 64 3D
Nano Assault has little content but it's REALLY REALLY good. Plus there is an arcade challenge mode with on-line high scores and a LOT of stuff to unlock.. this game at $20 is a STEAL and actually a lot deeper than meets the eye.. It's short however.. you can beat the main game in about 5 hours.. still TONS to do after.. I LOVED it..

Ace Combat has a ton of content, varied missions.. I own it and need to follow up on playing it.. it's very arcade like and I like that.. I'm not sure how long to beat it.. you could check some reviews but it's a REALLY solid title..

Star Fox 64 is.. MEH.. this game is sooooo over rated.. maybe it's me, but I'm not seeing the depth etc.. it's short.. beat it in a 1.5 hours.. yes yes, I know it lasts longer once you find different paths etc.. I'ts severely disappointing.. wish I never bought this one.. unless you LOVE star fox original.. stay the F away..

So, Rayman Origins 3DS is out next month... unless it's delayed, again.

I hope we get a demo for that soon.

don't think like this.
the game is absolutly packed with content. you will need weeks(if not months) to unlock most stuff. for 20 bucks/euros it's a steal. and who knows? maybe Tecmo will put up the old content again sometime in the future

if you liked the demo, get the game. I'm serious. you won't be dissapointed.

Frankly saying I feel the same. They're just costumes but it doesn't feel nice missing out. Perhaps they should've done it like the puzzle pieces: give out a few costumes for all players and let them exchange the rest via streetpass. That way people would keep spreading them even after spotpass support is given up and the game gets older.

Fair enough. You have convinced me.

Still looking to pick this up, as well as:

Bit.Trip Saga - How is this? I love the Bit.Trip games but have heard horror stories about the framerate, which is ridiculous.
Cave Story 3D - If I can ever find an affordable copy.
Rhythm Thief - Absolutely loved the demo.
RE:R and MGS3 - Just haven't had time for these since I've had Kid Icarus in my life!

Are Spirit Camera and Nano Assault due out in the UK?

The framerate drops significantly all the time in Runner 3D, enough that it was distracting me constantly. With 3D off it's not as bad. The other games basically run fine.

Where there was slowdown in the cartridge release you should find slowdown in the VC release.

BIT.TRIP SAGA is great. I really don't get the complaints. Granted, I've only played the demos on Wii, so I can't really compare it to BIT.TRIP COMPLETE since SAGA is my first time really playing the full BIT.TRIP games, but the game plays just fine on the 3DS, plus it's portable and in 3D (which looks amazing). The frame rate wasn't an issue for me. It's not running at 60 fps, that's true, but it didn't make a difference to me. I'd definitely recommend it if it's something you're interested in.

Cave Story 3D is also great. If you're a Cave Story fan, you'll definitely want to pick this up. It's really awesome to see how the 2D sprites were recreated as 3D environments. It feels much more "cave"-like, too. Some people may say that the charm was lost with the jump from 2D sprites to 3D models, but I would say that the game has just as much charm, albeit a different kind. The $40 MSRP is a bit steep, especially considering that you can get other versions of the game for a fraction of the price, but I personally didn't have a problem paying $40 because I believe Cave Story is worth that much. I would have bought the DSiWare version as a full price retail DS game if it was released as such. Also, remember that this isn't just another extended port of the game, it's a complete remaster with brand new 3D models all from scratch. A little more new content like what's in Cave Story+ would have been nice, but I was still very satisfied with what I got from it.

I can't speak for Rhythm Thief & the Emperor's Treasure, since there's not even a demo out yet in North America, but from what I've seen it looks really good. I definitely plan to get it for myself.

Resident Evil: Revelations is another one I can't speak for, since I can't play those types of games (I'm terrified of zombies... >.>), but I did try to play a bit of the demo, and it seemed like a very solid game from what (very little) I did play of it. Good Circle Pad Pro support, too.

I do have Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D, however. I haven't played the original on PS2, or the HD port, but the game looks fantastic on the 3DS to me. It controls very well with the Circle Pad Pro, too (the controls aren't completely terrible without it, but I would strongly recommend using the Circle Pad Pro if you have one, and if you don't you should pick one up because it's a very nice accessory). Like BIT.TRIP SAGA, I don't really get the frame rate complaints here. The frame rate is just fine for me. Certainly not "unplayable" in any way.

I just picked up Let's Golf 3D off the eShop yesterday and already having a fun time with it. It is definitely worth the 7 bucks in my opinion. It should hold me over until i hope someone else comes out with a full fledged retail release of a golf game.

The 3DS needs a baseball game dammit. I am super tempted to pick up the gameboy baseball game off the 3Shop, i use to play the hell out of that game back in the day.

They've put them up for download at least twice that I know of (last time was a couple of months ago, when I got them all), I'm sure they'll go up again. They're not 'essential' by any means though, just some more costumes.

You seem to be misunderstanding, The spotpass data doesn't unlock the costumes, the spotpass data is the costumes. The costumes aren't on the cartridge at all (from what Eatchildren and I could tell), so yeah there's no other way to get them.

No we won't. We're already getting Kirby's Block Ball on VC this week, and NOA seems to be under the impression that every single person who uses the eshop has exactly the same tastes and preferences, and that releasing one notable item per week is enough to satisfy that exact set of preferences.

Even worse, they seem to be under the impression that their old NES/GB games are the most sought-after titles, when in reality it's like offering yard sale items in lieu of retail.

To the person who asked: yes, there are minor scratch marks, but I wouldn't necessarily let that deter you from buying a 3DS. Honestly, I can't even see the marks unless I'm holding the unit under direct light, which I only do when I'm cleaning the device. It is a design flaw, though.

Just place a single-layer microfiber cloth between the two screens and you'll be golden.

I would definitely pick up Overclocked if it's only $30 at GS. I was impatient and bought the game from GS when it was $40, despite Amazon already featuring the reduced price point. I'm ~37 hours into the game and I'm only on the 6th day. Ridiculous value.

Nintendo is rarely on time when they make announcements like this. I expect it at the end of the month.

I just hope Square Enix doesn't just push out Heroes of Ruin to bomb. I really want it to do well. Then again I'm bias as it's the only game I'm really looking forward to on the 3DS at the moment. Want to buy it if the final impressions are good and don't want it to turn out to be a wasted purchase.

That there is no separation between players that use normal controls and those that use the gyro controls (where the game controls movement) kills this as an online game I feel. :( How could that have been overlooked. Unless it wasn't overlooked and done on purpose. Which gives me the same vibe as Mario Kart 7 where anyone can win do to chance. Was on the fence already but this combined with only being able to customize your Mii certainly stops me from buying it.

The graphics are clean and the 3D effect is surprisingly good. The story is simple--as is any other Harvest Moon games--and the gameplay is not for those without patience. It can be repetitive at times, but it can also be addictive like crack, hahaha.

The 3DS version however for Tales of Two Towns has a bad stigma for random freezing and lags--something that Natsume have acknowledged officially although it *appears* not all copies are affected--but I personally haven't encountered any of those two issues yet. But then again, those issues are known to be happening--as far as I am aware--in long gaming sessions and I usually play this game only like 2 to 3 hours a day.

It's a nice, relaxing game.

Kinda wish the price was lower, but I still think I may give it a chance because it still looks like it could be a fun game at it's core.

If Natsume is smart they can issue a patch through the 3DS to hopefully fix the issues, but we'll see...

I've heard lots of good things about Metal Gear Solid 3. Also, try Cave Story, if you haven't played it already. Dunno how the 3DS or eShop versions are, but the PC version I've played was fantastic.
