Hopefully steam plays nice with my new years resolution to only buy games I plan on playing immediately. Like many others my backlog across all systems is ludicrous.... I think I may have a problem.
Greatly anticipating big-picture mode here, as well. How long has it been since they announced it? A year? |

Question: I bought winter voices last summer, I now tried to go back to the store page to buy DLC, but found that apparently the game is no longer on steam. What would I have to do to get the DLC? Do I need to buy the game and DLC elsewhere?

Thanks to you guys I added 31 games to my collection in that Christmas deal thread (and could have been 4 more if my CC didn't block me at 6 minutes before the deals end as I was trying to purchase the AC bundle, because of too many purchases in a short span of time triggered their anti fraud check).
I can only hope the summer deals will include Alice Madness Returns once again, as I missed out on that with this last sale. |

I may have some christmas good news for you. Maybe very good news. I can't talk about it right now... But soon, I will be able to. Sincerely, The Polar Bear " Posted on 12-14-2011, 03:25 AM by Ours Polaire (I believe he's a dev on the team). So there is hope still! |

just a quick note to tell everyone that the spare money on your wallet (like 0.35 € etc...) is not lost or unusable. next time you buy a game, it will propose you to use the spare money on your account and pay the rest with your credit card.
figured this out some time ago when i wasn't able to recharge my steam wallet |

Already beaten Bulletstorm, Hard Reset, and Rochard the past few days. Incredible backlog from the sale minus 3!
Looking forward to another fun (where I spend lots of money) year.

The list of trusted sites is missing amazon, they even had better deals on steamworks games last sale than Steam itself.

I was thinking we should put together a google doc or something to share what coupons we have left in the event that someone wants to purchase something eligible prior to March 1st (for example, I have a 33% off Bethesda coupon that someone could use on Skyrim if they missed the Christmas sale).
A spreadsheet (assuming it was maintained) would be a lot more useful than a thread of people just posting coupons. |

Yes for me too but I also just added 3 Y's games to my Steam list to launch in and really want to finally play them through after having them sit in my inventory from the Groupon promo. |

I posted this in the Steam Holiday topic, but now that we have our 2012 official topic up and running...
I have a copy of Risen a friend gifted me from his coal crafting (his laptop can't run the game). I'm looking to trade it. No offer is really a low-ball, and I'm not really looking for a game of current equal value, just something that would be fun. If anyone is interested, just PM me an offer and we'll work something out. |

This will be the year where I buy yet another several dozen games from steam at rock bottom prices, then not install them and go back to playing Dota 2.
This, I vow. |

I spent a whopping $5 on this years Xmas Sale. I am very proud of myself!
Summer Sale will be a different story, as most of the games I wanted I already had leading up to the Xmas Sale. |

Should add this
http://store.steampowered.com/?cc=us to the OP, for dirty foreigners like me who want to know steam US prices to see if they are getting ripped off or not (fuck you to whoever is responsible of Dead Space 2 still being $60 here) |

I think so. They seemed useless for the sale but now that we can use them and will have sales, the true XMAS sale begins :O
I am holding out for when Oblivion goes on sale since I have a coupon for the GOTY goes on sale. A 50 PERCENT coupon. |

So what's up with Natural Selection 2?
Wasn't it supposed to be released in 2010? |

Any chance I would enjoy Airline Tycoon 2 if Roller Coaster Tycoon was my favorite of that genre? Would still love to find a current gen tycoon game that I can play as much as I did with RCT.

Just got the bills for this month...
/sadface Will live off with 150 dollars for the next 2.5 weeks. No going out allowed/lunches with coworkers/a life. Thankfully, fridge is stocked up (like, full... roommate and I went a bit crazy with a lot of stuff to make for lunch/dinner), gas money is accounted for, and I just got done downloading the last game for my January/February backlog hitlist: Saint's Row: The Third Alice: Madness Returns Skyrim Fallout: New Vegas Arkham City Deus Ex: HR - The Missing Link Assassin's Creed 2 Sonic Generations ![]() In what order would you tackle my game list, GAF? :D Still gotta find some time for daily running exercise/guitar practice /gulp

You could use a UK VPN just to activate it. I did that for Saint's Row The Third when it was on sale on THQ's store and that worked fine. Have yet to hear of anyone running into problems with this down the line, too.

Dead Island for £12.99
F.E.A.R. 3 for £4.99 Both at GMG, both are Steam registerable. They also have Driver SF for 75% off, but that doesn't register on Steam. It's good to see some competition for Steam in the sales this year, there's quite a few games now that have received bigger discounts on either GMG or Amazon than they did in the Steam sale. |

I glad I didn't get DNF during the sale, just got it yesterday on Amazon for less than a dollar using a coupon and redeemable on Steam, always wanted to play it just for the history surrounding it, even if it's bad. So I think that's an awesome price
