Ive said it before but Gemini Rue is one of the best adventure games in the past 3 years, and is in the running in my top 3 cyberpunk games of all time.
Really? I don't agree, not by a longshot. The main character is who I was mainly referring to. To each his own!

That's a pretty damn solid lineup, actually.

That would actually be a really funny puzzle in an indie game or something: if your mouse sensitivity is set so high, an in-game mouse won't let you progress because it keeps getting offended. In order to move forward, you'd have to turn your mouse sensitivity down.

That also seems like it would be incredibly obtuse, but that's why I'm not in game design, haha.

So I played Binary Domain demo... how does one answer during voice recognition? I press tab to show the selection but I can't seem to pick one!

A guy in the Binary Domain thread said you need to go into options and turn off voice recognition; it's apparently on by default.

Disabling mouse acceleration in Windows did the trick for me. One of those games that just doesn't get along with it.

It´s a steal for that price. As an adventure game, it´s ok, not awesome, but fans of the genre should buy it when it doesn´t cost more than this.

It'd be kind of interesting to have a game that's all about breaking the fourth wall. MGS1 did it during the scene with Psycho Mantis, where he takes over your controller and starts cheating by reading your button presses

So, looking at the screenshots, this is a game about a guy who stabs people in the abdomen in single-color environments?

Apparently involves the Brotherhood of Steel, and stars the assassin Alistair thief Esteban, with lots of abdomen stabbing.

Yeah. I played Sanctum for some achievements during a sale and liked what I played but didn't have the chance to go back. It's a cool take on the tower defense genre, a bit similar to Orcs must Die! but first person. If you're a fan of the genre, you'll most likely enjoy it.

Great price for Brink, but you'll probably have nobody to play with online and the "single player" is just frustrating bot matches. So yeah, I wouldn't recommend it either.

Civ5 (non-goatee edition) is €7.49 (75% off) over at Get Games Go. There's also a 50% discount on a partial DLC pack which contains Babylon, Korea and Ancient Wonders.

It's tough finding people to play with, I still ahve it installed if anyone else is up for playing some time. I'm also playing Dota 2 a lot as Windrunner, if anyone's into that.

Sanctum is kinda fun but I imagine the multiplayer is dead now. Played a few hours for Holiday achievements and really enjoyed it.

Figured. When games like that just come out silently you can assume it's terrible. Especially something from Atlus, if it was good this board would have been freaking out about it.

Ugh, seems like there might be a problem playing Steam games off my external drive, but I'm not sure what it is.

The Sniper V2 demo worked fine, but Saints Row The Third and Just Cause 2 didn't work - SRTT doesn't launch, and JC2 starts up but just stays on the first "Just Cause 2" screen with the logos.

This was when using Steam Mover, so I reinstalled Steam on the external drive, copied the steamapps folder over and tried that - no luck. Tried verifying cache on JC2 - it did download something, but it didn't fix the problem :(

So there are only two things I can think of now:

1. Redownload the game completely - I can't see this working, the game worked fine as it is from the C drive.

2. Someone mentioned my particular drive (Hitachi Touro Desk, 2TB, 7200RPM) isn't compatible with Windows built-in back up for some reason, I think it may have been that it uses 4k sectors maybe? All I can think of is formatting it to not use these sectors but I have no idea how to do that, whether it's advisable, or whether it would fix the problem.

Any ideas anyone? Getting a horrible feeling I've just wasted £80 on a drive I'll hardly use if Steam games don't work from it...
