Hey, come on man...

Sea Lab went downhill, true, but with Murphy gone how could it not?

Frisky Dingo remained great, and Archer is still great. I don't know if a single show with declining quality really qualifies as "a history".

That's why I cited the Xtacles miniseries rather than Frisky Dingo itself since FD got cancelled before it could happen.

What? The Xtacles was two episodes and Adam Reed didn't have anything to do with it.

(I thought it was hilarious anyways.)

When can we expect Season 3 on disc? I unfortunately only caught onto the glory of Archer after this season had already aired.

Nope. It sounds like they're going to run all 13 episodes in early 2013.

Does anyone know when is season 4 airing? I read somewhere that it was premiering tomorrow at 10:30, but it's not showing up on the tv schedule.

Justified season four debuts Tuesday, Jan. 8 at 10 p.m. and the season includes guest stars like Joe Mazzello and Patton Oswalt.

Anger Management is back on Thursday, Jan. 17, with Martin Sheen now on the cast full time. AM will run back-to-back episodes at 9 and 9:30 p.m. for its premiere week, then shifts to repeats at 9 p.m. and originals at 9:30 p.m. thereafter. FX has to plow through a 90-episode commitment to the show, so expect Anger Management to be around for awhile.

On the same night, Archer season four debuts at 10 p.m., followed by new comedy series Legit, starring Jim Jefferies as a foul-mouthed stand-up comedian from Australia living in Los Angeles who’s struggling for success. It’s followed by the return of talk show Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell at 11 p.m.
S4 starts Thursday, January 17th at 10pm.

FX ran a new promo during SoA last night, too.

- Warming Glow points out that FX has a couple of the actors running Twitter and Facebook accounts for Archer characters (Pam, Archer, and Krieger) in case anyone wants to check that out

They've been posting amusing seasonal pictures and commentary in the off season.

I still haven't seen an online link for the quick promo that aired last week, but there should be a full trailer up sooner or later since the premiere is next month.

Saw the predator one on facebook, I can't wait for this to return. I've been rewatching random episodes the last weeks and am really appreciating the show more as revisit it, so many small jokes and gags that I didn't catch the first time around.

Did Netflix pick up Season 2 for streaming around when the discs came out, or was there a gap?

Dunno, but I know Season 1 came out a year earlier than Season 2 on blu-ray when Season 1 was a Best Buy exclusive for a year.

There was a gap of a few months, unfortunately. S2 DVD's were out around Christmas and Netflix had S2 up in late February last year.

Did they expand on the extras for the season 2/3 Bluray? That's usually the only reason I typically buy TV seasons on DVD/BR and I skipped out on season 1 because everything I read said that it was an incredibly barebones release (plus the episodes were also available on Netflix).

Well for starters the Blu-rays have amazing PQ/AQ but that was to be expected.

Season 2 extras were cool like the return of Archersaurus among other things.

The panel was a ton of fun on Friday night. In attendance were H Jon Benjamin, Aisha Tyler, Amber Nash, Chris Parnell, and Lucky Yates along with executive producer Matt Thompson. At the beginning, they did a gag where they brought out a male model wearing a tactical turtleneck and had him lip sync what H Jon Benjamin was saying back stage - basically pretending like Archer's voice actor actually looked like Archer. Then they read through a few classic scenes including pushing the bomb out of the blimp in Skytanic and the scene with Pam driving her rally car with everyone shooting at the Yakuza. They showed a couple extra clips including Krieger's anime video with him about to tentacle rape his hologram girlfriend (sort of an homage to the beginning of Thriller: "I'm not like other guys") and a whole video about what if Archer got in an accident and ended up looking like H Jon Benjamin (lots of jokes about him being short and ugly). Pretty funny and I don't know if those will be on a future dvd set.

They did a reading from one scene from the new season and showed a couple of still frames. This was from the finale. I guess the whole thing is an homage to Sealab 2021 where they have to assault the underwater lab for some reason. Apparently it'll have a few characters from Sealab with names slightly changed for copyright reasons. They also showed a clip reel from the new season that included guest stars Tim Olyphant and Anthony Bourdaine. There were a couple of scenes from Mallory's upcoming wedding, Bionic Barry shows up among others.

The cast was great and funny. They spent a lot of time ripping on audience members in the front row and wielding a t-shirt cannon. Lucky Yates also gave out some Archer pens with a cap that slips off. Should be a fun season - can't wait for it to get started.
