Either I made up lies about the Boston Bomber or I fell for someone else's crap. Either way, I have absolutely no credibility and you should never pay any attention to anything I say, no matter what the context. Perm me if I claim to be an insider

Read: "We're not talking to them until they officially pull out of the ACC, and then we can offer them an invitation to the Big 12"
Also, if you want a blueprint for what's about to happen, check out last year's SEC press releases before they invited A&M. |

Also interesting to note that Neinas also stated that the Big 12 is interested in a pure top 4 playoff system with no preference for conference champions. |

Wait--are we already doing season predictions for our teams?
Well, here goes nothing: ![]() 2012 Season NC State - W Georgia State - W Florida - W Akron - W Georgia - L Mississippi State - W Alabama - L South Carolina - L Troy - W Missouri - W Vanderbilt - W Kentucky - W Yep, 9-3 bitches. Finish ranked #18 in the polls, then beat the shit out of someone in the Capital One Bowl. Vawls are back on the map, and Dooley gets an extension. |

Edit: Ok, seriously now. Even accounting for SEC-addled voters, there are only 6 teams there that might be in the top 25 at some point along the way.

That's a pretty easy schedule. You guys should join a BCS conference, if you keep improving you'll have a shot at those lucrative BCS bowls.

I dunno, Boise is probably gonna start the season ranked, so you'll have to hope they lose to jump them for that spot.

Here we go:
![]() Sept. 1 - at BYU W Sept. 8 - Eastern Washington W Sept. 15 - at UNLV W Going to this game. Sept. 22 - Colorado W Sept. 29 - Oregon (in Seattle) L-Going to this game. It will be closer than many predict and we both very well could be 4-0 going into this one. (I wish it was in Pullman.) Oct. 6 - at Oregon State W Going to this game. Oct. 13 - California L Going to this game. Oct. 20 - Bye Oct. 27 - at Stanford L Nov. 3 - at Utah L Nov. 10 - UCLA W Nov. 17 - at Arizona State W Nov. 23 - Washington W possibly going to this game, I think I have enough donor points to get tickets. I see us going anywhere from 6-6 to 8-4. I think a bowl game will definitely happen this year. Going to 4 games in a 5 week span is going to be incredibly awesome!

I'm pretty sure UT's president is a Gata. We'll never succeed with all these spies in our midst.

Hopefully that's just a bad joke, instead of being serious. Otherwise it really proves my point about how insular only college football fans are. Any fan's team outside that team's conference may as well be in Asia somewhere for many fans. Most SEC teams fans probably can't even name more than 10 states in the US.

That's fine. At this point college football is about like professional wrestling in terms of legitimacy and how much wins or losses matter to me anyway. A fun way to cheer on your school or team in an exhibition against your predetermined opposition on a weekly basis and have some beers or drinks, but goes no further than that to actually prove anything. Win a lot you go to a game with a more expensive sponsor. That's about all it is. I didn't even watch the title game last year and don't think I watched any bowl games outside of the one my team was in. I've accepted it is what it is, and it's never going to change.

It's always going to work like this, because rarely do the two best teams in a conference actually play in the title game. And hey, if the bad team in the title game wins? It just secures another spot, and then if the two other best get a spot as well? In a 4 team playoff system, if Georgia beat LSU in the SEC title game last year, there could have been a real chance for there to be 3 of 4 teams in a 4 team playoff. Hell, maybe even 4 of 4 if you wanted Arkansas in LOL SEC trolling at its finest. Some things change, but it's still essentially the same as long as the system can be worked, it will be worked, and it's going to be worked in the future as well. So, I'm not going to worry about it. Our schedule is what it is, our bowl options are what they are, we play who we play and beat who we beat. It's out of my hands and out of the school I root for's hands. |
