Just say "I didn't see nothing about [type of job] on the test, so I kinda blew it off" and they should offer you a salary in the millions.

Either I made up lies about the Boston Bomber or I fell for someone else's crap. Either way, I have absolutely no credibility and you should never pay any attention to anything I say, no matter what the context. Perm me if I claim to be an insider

BEAST commish resigning isn't that much a surprise now I guess.

We've already been together 9 and a half years, and we are both huge football fans. I'm in the clear from most of the traditional wedding stuff. Hell, I remember our anniversary of when we met far more often than she does.

Also, I dunno how people do the House Divided relationship. I tried dating a Husker. It was simply too difficult. |

That's a request for Paul Dee to talk, not the actual talk. |

I think I'd rather date a non football fan than date someone who went to say, ucla. I guess that's pretty much the same thing though.

The rumor over the weekend is that Clemson and FSU to the Big 12 is heating up again. As a UT season ticket holder, great.. but I'd hate to have to deal with local hate again! |

Seriously, this still makes even less sense than WVU to B12. At least WVU was bailing on the BEAST. |

Good news for the Clemson-UGA games in the next couple years. It was mutually agreed to up the cancellation penalty:

And I'm sure the money would be more than the ACC could offer. Greatly improves the football brand of the new Big 12, expands the imprint to Florida and the Carolinas, and gives FSU and Clemson more money and access to Texas recruits. |

I think you could make the case that there are only 3 strong leagues right now.... the SEC, BIG10 and PAC12. Everybody else is up for grabs.
I think we will see a 4th out of the remaining conferences that steps up to the level of the big 3. Then you will see the big 4 cherry pick out of the remaining conferences to get 4 really strong 16 league teams and will finally create a good playoff system where each conference sends its champion. |

That said, I'm all for anything that gives the North Carolina and Virginia schools a reason to consider moving to the SEC. |

Geography is the only major knock against it IMO, but that didn't stop the Big 12 from grabbing WVU. |

Because the FSU AD is in debt, and the ACC media deal is about 2 million less per year then the Big 12 one is.

I believe all told the Big 12 makes about 5 million more per school per year then the ACC. That's music to the ears of an athletic department that just announced a 2.7 million dollar shortfall: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost...postcount=4739 |

I date a nonsports fan, but in slowly converting her. Midway through the bball season she knew players and their numbers. I think what's getting her is taking her to actual games, really got her into the sport then.

cha-ching! If I was the FSU AD, I would move to the Big12 YESTERDAY if offered. In one year you could turn a ~3 million deficit into a ~5 million surplus! (minus the difference in travel costs but the ACC has some schools far away from Talahassee as well so it wouldn't be that much more costly )

Sure, but what does that drop to if you take UT out of the equation? $50? $51?

In terms of academics, I know it's a huge downgrade, but as far as the athletic programs are concerned, I'd love to see FSU and Clemson go to the Big 12. Just being a South Carolina fan, I know it would shut up about 80% of the fanbase that blasts Clemson's ACC opponents, but honestly, I love to see some good Clemson/Oklahoma, Clemson/Texas, and Clemson/West Virginia (whoops!) match ups. I'd just love to get the chance to see Oklahoma play again (one semester of OU on the transcript baby!).

I mean ACC makes 12 million per school per year on Tier 1, 2, and 3 rights. The Big 12 makes 20 million per school per year on just Tier 1 and 2 rights, and they just verbally agreed to extend this deal to 2025. Texas makes another 10 million on top of that with the mythical LHN. The playoff is a game changer. |

Colorado, Nebraska, Missouri, and Texas A&M, all pretty much begged to get out of the Big 12 and get away from Texas. Oklahoma probably would have been gone also if not for Oklahoma St. Even, with the extra money, would FSU really want to get rid of all of their southern rivalries, join a conference that was recently on the brink of destruction, and make their closest away game over 800 miles away?

As for the rest of your reasons, I agree. I don't like the idea of being so far away from all the other teams. |
