Very scratchy beginning from Phil. Seems like he was a bit under the notes for much of the song. It just felt a little disjointed all around.

He's not talentless but he's the most limited in the competition and has been for a while.

That song itself is great and that was quite weak.

Phil sings like he has a grudge against Melody and her best friend Pitch. He's not even exciting. The sax player is genuinely the best part of his performances.

Incredible performance. The only thing that would have made this better was if the song went up a few more keys after the chorus. He was a little more toned down in the dramatic singing this time, something he should be commended for :)

Yeah, when he doesn't go off on every part or oversing the song, he really shines even more.

I never thought he could be subtle but he seems to get it now.

I always assumed that Joshua knew subtlety, but was trying to be impressive with the excessive wailing in the past. I'm happy that he's trying to tone it down.
