No? There's two phases. There's the TBS phase where you try and protect your ship and there's the flight phase where you shoot down enemies and buildings. |

I stand by it being some kind of amalgam of the 3DS and Wii OS'. Specially with the dual screen aspect, look, view of the 3DS OS. It only makes sense. I think you're going to be doing most of your selecting of apps and games on the Wii-U tablet.

The worst part is... the hoops, the god damned hoops. Have you played Superman 64? In SF Command, they actually force you to go through hoops to be able to destroy the target bases. And those horrible missile missions... you have to destroy a missile in x amount of time, but you have to go through hoops that make you go faster and faster. And if you miss a hoop? Mission failed. I liked the strategy aspects though, but I would have really loved classic on-rails missions and no fucking hoops.

I don't think your Mii is going to be such a part of your OS experience. I say again look at the 3DS, there are Mii games and interactivity, but you don't see your Mii during regular OS stuff. |

I like this, but the designer in me says there's too much empty space on the left, unless the tiles are supposed to scroll past your mii.
The Wii U should just take the wii menu and make it so that the "channels" are re-sizable, and add folders. Its a pretty capable interface already, and is much better overall than the current 360 dashboard. |

It would be nice to be able to set up category channels, and have sub channels in them. Like say having SNES VC Channel, or N64 VC Channel. Hell or even going Adventure games channel, RPG Games channel. Basically let people organize shit how they want. |
