I'll buy Lollipop Chainsaw when it goes down in price. I like the aesthetic and even though Suda might not have worked on this title in a day to day capacity I think it carries some of his stylings, which I love. But they seemingly use a lot of the same tricks over and over and it feels lacking in terms of content

The impressions from the official thread is positive and it looks like its one of the better Grasshopper games in recent entries.

I think she's annoying, but to a certain degree, skirts that line where it's funny instead of actually annoying. I think part of that is Nick's relatively flat responses to the things she has to say.

Ryan's only two levels or so into the game. Another 2 hrs and he could be at the end. It's a fun little title. They should have done a mini endurance run.
Yeah, there are definitely a few good jokes in there. If you don't like the valley hill style of Juliet though you're not going to enjoy the game's VA. Tara Strong does an awesome job with it though and on the whole the VA is pretty decent. |

I will wait on a price drop for Lollipop Chainsaw. It's only 5 hours long and even if the people in the OT say it's got a ton of replay value, I don't know if I'd even want to replay the game. It's better to wait a bit. At least for me.
It's coming for Wii U and going from the Wii U's supposed specs, it would be easy to port the engine of Lollipop Chainsaw or Paradise onto Wii U. |

It better be! And Suda better be directing again. I feel LC would have had the craziness Ryan wanted if Suda had directed it.

Yes, he plays Dee's boyfriend that ends up robbing them. He's only in that one episode, but it's one of my favorites.

Yeah, it does. Surprisingly so. This is far beyond the usual jank I can forgive, it just looks... really bad. I'm a big Suda/Grasshopper fan, but I won't go anywhere near this. Their last two games (Diabolical Pitch and this) have been pretty shit. Here's hoping they can turn it around with their next project.

I think Lollipop Chainsaw is actually the best playing game Grasshopper has put out. The QL segment wasn't a very good showing.
Oh man.

Found it weird some of the things they were off put about in the LC quick look. The shop music never really plays long enough for me to be bothered by it and for all the awful marketing playing up the sex appeal, I actually don't think they do it much in the game itself. The combat also gets WAY better once you buy more combos, so I will be interested to see what Ryan thinks of it after he plays more but I personally think it is my favorite Grasshopper game to date.

it's very sad that I got a move controller just this game just to see it years later end this way. |
