Thank you, everyone. Your well-wishing over the past couple of months has meant a lot to me!
Don't give up! It has been three years since I graduated, and June to November I worked a shitty job in retail management that crushed all my self belief, making me feel incompetent and unemployable. I bounced back and realised the first step of my dream. It'll happen for you, too! |

I'll not outright name the employer, if you don't mind, but using the information in this thread I'm sure you could easily work them out if you really cared. |

I'm going to be different for the hell of it and say fuck you, Suairyu!
I'm super jealous and very happy for you. Kinda want to work with TV myself, although more on the "arseholes who deal with the business shite in TV" side of things. You give us all hope for the future! :P |

Nice one Suairyu! :)
Have fun networking with people too! Got three packs of yum yums (doughnuts) in M&S, 50p each. Sorted out Easter eggs for people too. |

Congrats on the job Suairyu.
Here's what Charlie Brooker has to say about what to expect: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yrtmicJPvQ4#t=3m10s |

It's funny, because although the company I'm with is really fun and not-in-London and I totes didn't do Media Studies, Mr Brooker has summarised the worst-case quite well indeed and I can recognise the job titles and career progression already. ... what have I gotten into? |

Charlie Brooker needs to do more gameswipe.
Congrats on the job Suairyu, I too got a job in the past few days... painting my neighbours house and farmyard. Those four years of college were well spent ._.

10 O'Clock Live is pretty crap. Laverne and Carr are shite in it. Brooker needs to quit that and stick to Wipe and drama.

Not that I disagree with the latter statement. 10 O'Clock live is a bunch of funny, talented dudes discovering that they have zero chemistry, episode by episode. And Brooker is by far the best bit, even if it's far removed from, say, this. |

Heartiest of congratulations, Suairyu. I'm looking into retraining or work placements so I could get somewhere as good as you. Supposedly nursing and paramedic training is funded by the NHS and I'm in a medical family.
In other news I've gotten a day's casual work at the KC Stadium, woo. Greet me with "believe" at the concessions stands and you might just make my day tomorrow. Short, fat, stupid hair. |

Sometimes I think that Brooker acts out his cynicism to appear more edgy than he is, especially in recent months, but the Black Mirror anthology is a classic of our time.
Simply fantastic television, especially the gameshow one. |

The "recording eyes" one was my favourite, Toby Kebell's performance nails it,

Well, it's 15:30 and I've got about three hours left to work I suppose, but last day nonetheless. |

I thought the two eps Brooker wrote were subtle as a brick and laboured their point which ended up with me being bored shitless.
