i do feel like they're in danger of mario overkill, i've enjoyed the mario titles this gen immensely but i think a better balance can be struck between one per generation and all mario all the time.

They've revisited Super Mario Brothers, they're revisited Super Mario Land. Now for the big one.

They need to create Super Mario world 3. It'll have the beautiful art style of SMW2 combined with a lot of the locations and gameplay mechanics of SMW1. I would love Nintendo forever if they produced this.

I would love to see another sprite based 2D one, but it seems to be a vain hope.

I agree about the uninspired aesthetic design of the NSMB games, and I think it's keeping me from replaying them. I thought they were decent enough games, but their visual design screams "dull".

Well, this one will have some big shoes to fill with me personally. I liked 3D Land more than both Galaxy titles, and its probably my top 3 favorite mario ever at this point. If they can get in the ballpark with that one, I'm down. Will buy either way though.
