![]() Only 5 Top 10's, missed the cut in 4 of the last 11, and a crap load of other cuts and DNPs from 2002 on. Bill Haas now has as many Tour victories and sure, Donald has 6 Euro victories, but who really gives a shit. |

Donald, overrated?? Really?
Sure he hasn't performed great in Majors, but then again, Phil went a looong time without winning one, Westwood hasn't won one yet. No 1 player in the world, won most money on the PGA tour AND the European tour last year. Sorry, I fail to see how he's overrated in any way. |

Also found this funny this morning on Tiger's opponent today:

I'm with you. Sure, Luke isn't in that super high, top-tier echelon of players, but to have a season like he did last year is special. Nothing overrated about that. Great player, and deserving of all praise he receives, imo.
To say Tiger is anything BUT beatable right now is expecting too much from him. The one time in recent years that we've seen him in a high-pressure, contending situation, he folded like a lawn chair and was blown out of the water. The guy has A LOT to prove. |

But still, I don't see Donald as overrated. He had an awesome last season, and was amazingly consistent. If I read the table correctly at the Official World Ranking page he had 20 Top 10s in 2011. |

Luke Donald is a great golfer and is ranked No. 1 because of his consistent play. But he is never a major player in big tournaments.
I love when the Golf Channel recaps past majors. Its so amusing to see Tiger's opponents just buckle late saturday into sunday when he's on the prowl. No one fears him now. When he starts to get a few wins under his belt his road to 18 will come so much easier as his opponents will just hand the wins over. |

And I think that fear that Tiger generated in other players on Sundays is gone. Yang showed that he is beatable on a Sunday, and the new young players are probably gonna be less inclined, at least now, to just give Tiger the W. But we'll see, it's going to be very interesting and I hope tiger gets his form back |

Online coverage starts at 12;30: http://www.pgatour.com/livegolf/#
The PGA is one of the few sports entities that actually gets it when it comes to offering online video of live events. EDIT: Fucking A - Woods down 2 through 2.

What a match between Mahan and Z. Johnson. Mahan took it in 19 holes.
All square with Tiger through 7 holes. Dustin Johnson and Furyk still going at it EDIT* Castano missed fairway again, Tiger drills 3-wood just off green. Game Over.

And a classic quote when Maltby asked "How many times out of 10 do you get up and down put of that bunker?"
Tiger: "I only had to do it once." And Luke bounced to no surprise. As soon as he found out he had Els he started with the "Well, he's not your typical 64 seed...." talk. Psyched himself out of it. Rory got lucky to squeak by.

It is sort of funny, watching Tiger complain about his putting. I was sort of off-and-on watching the golf replay last night, and I can't remember Tiger hitting a fairway off the tee, and watched him miss quite a few greens. Now granted, yes, he did miss some putts that he normally would make, but he was missing A LOT of shots that he would normally make. Hell, twice this week he had to attempt a lefty shot from the cholla bushes. He is just really rusty all around.

Just needs to make it happen in the same round. McIlroy or Westwood will be World No.1 with a win Sunday. |

Did they change the format for this event? I thought they used to play Quarters in the morning Saturday, Semis in the afternoon, and then the 36 hole Finals on Sunday. Just saw on TV that the Semis are tomorrow morning, with the Finals in the afternoon. So, are the Finals only 18 hole now?

http://www.pga.com/news/pga-tour/wgc...-hole-match-tv From a TV perspective, it makes sense. Nothing like the tournament coming on and somebody already being 4 or 5 up. Only twice in 12 years has the player trailing after 18 lost. |

Tiger was sitting at +1, over the cut line with two holes to play - manned up, birdied them both to get to -1 and ready for the weekend.
