Classic Tiger win. Nobody shot better than 4 under today, shoots a solid 2 under, makes a clutch par on 15 with McDowell unable to close. Can't wait for the Masters.

You have a low bar if winning one PGA event in two years qualifies for greatness.

If you're drawing the line there, then sure he hasn't been a great golfer. But I also think it's too soon to judge him as an "old Tiger" and a "new Tiger". He's had ups and downs before, but now that he's won again finally, he has a chance to end that funk and usher in a new era.

Just so glad that Tiger is back. When he made the par saving putt on 15 you could feel it...those were putts he wasn't making before.

Can't wait for the Masters, hope he can pull it off!

I just finished the book. This post will contain book info, in case you are the type who likes to be surprised.

The short version:
This book is about a nice guy, who is a great swing coach, who takes on the job of being one for the number one athlete in the world and is disappointed because he wasn't more of a "friend."

The long version:
Hank's biggest problem with Tiger is that he wasn't normal. If you or me were a golf coach and went to coach an average person full time, we would experience a new bond and friendship like no other. What Hank got was a taste of what super-celebrity-stardom gets you. A self-centered person that shows little to no emotion, has no real close friends, can't trust anyone, doesn't engage on conversation, ...... isn't normal. Does Hank think if he spent a year with Brad Pitt he wouldn't come out of this thinking any differently.

Throughout the book Hank is continually getting upset because Tiger isn't showing him enough thanks, Tiger doesn't offer him a popsicle from the freezer (true story), Tiger doesn't make comments that praise Hank to the media, Tiger doesn't want to engage in deep conversation about Hank's personal life.

Hank was expecting this deep friendship. He doesn't take into consideration the tough life that Tiger had and that he just doesn't have that side of him.

Hank took very little shots at Tiger, the few things he did say about Elin and their marriage were nothing hurtful.

I think that Tiger can be upset that Hank wrote this book and betrayed a trust that they had as employer/employee relationship. But Hank gave nothing but the utmost respect for Tiger and his career.

Yeah I remember last year or the year before Tiger was on #11 at Augusta - might have been the same year he hit that filthy hook on #9 to about 10 feet. Anyway, he was in the trees and hitting a low hook up the treeline to get back to the fairway - people were literally standing about 70 yards directly in front of them, he aimed right at them and hit a screaming low hook. Had he not hooked it, someone would have taken it right in the teeth.

Not sure, happened as soon as I turned it on, don't think it was anybody major though.
PGA ipad app is a bit of a let down for once, seems to be directing to the website.

Great fact about the Par 3 jinx, those kind of things seem to happen in so many sports.

Now suspended due to weather, cut power to the TV for a short while.

Have you tried the Masters app? It's pretty awesome, and has been doing video all week so far. They recently updated it for Retina displays, as well, and looks awesome....

Seriously! The guy in the striped shirt and black shorts would have a massive concussion after I hit the ball. I get self-conscious when the drink-cart girl stops her Cart...I couldn't imagine the yips I'd have with 1,000 spectators watching.

Looking forward to seeing Tiger play this weekend; always fun to see the electricity he brings to the course.

I seem to remember the Masters website/apps holding up pretty well last year. I know I'm going to be streaming the hell out of it tomorrow at work. Taking my laptop and iPad, so I can watch two feeds at once :]

I just do not get not showing Tiger live at any point on Thursday. Here are the featured groupings that will be on the internet stream (and Masters app):

Quote:
Featured Group No. 1 Lineup:

8:45 a.m.: Adam Scott, Bo Van Pelt, Martin Kaymer

12:47 p.m.*: Mike Weir, Brandt Snedeker, Webb Simpson

1:42 p.m.*: Angel Cabrera, Rory McIlroy, Bubba Watson

Featured Group No. 2 Lineup:

8:56 a.m.: Steve Stricker, Padraig Harrington, Stewart Cink

12:58 p.m.*: Vijay Singh, Lee Westwood, Jim Furyk

1:53 p.m.*: Phil Mickelson, Hunter Mahan, Peter Hanson

Sure, you might get a few extra holes of Rory, Phil, and Bubba before the 3pm broadcast comes on, but why wouldn't they be featuring Tiger's group in the morning?

The Golf Channel is "Live from the Masters" from 8am - 3pm....what are they showing besides general interviews, Nobilo, and Chamblee?

Garrigus first hole - 7. OUCH.

True, but one of the crazy things that TV has done is that I think on Thursday and Friday, Tiger and Phil have been in the same draw literally a handful of times - they always want one of them in the afternoon for TV.

Tiger sprayed it wide right on first hole. Waiting for an update. Golf Channel can't keep a play by play because of restriction issues.

I'm watching the scrubs now on Amen Corner online. Picture Quality is great.

*Edit. Tiger saved par. pew.

*Edit 2. Masters.com quick with the highlights. Tiger's first hole already up.
