I'm all for adding moves to the repertoire, hell, it's probably why I still get excited to see him return. That said, what really irks me about this phase is those fucking gloves. DOES NOT fit the rest of the character at all.

I look at the gloves and his overall in ring look as a holdover from the American Badass stage.

Oh the pain of it all, my brother was a big Taker fan and I of course back Kane, so yeah that sight was not approved. Austin's heel turn was actually really effective on me back then, I hated him.
At the invasion ppv he crossed the line! I TRUSTED HIM AND HE BETRAYED ME AND THE WWE! Yeah the invasion worked a lot better as a dumb kid, I actually enjoyed it since I didn't realise how much potential was squandered. While i'm rambling the Raw before Invasion when Austin went to the bar to drown his sorrows but returned to pretty much crush the alliance by himself was so damn good.

I think i'll watch it later courtesy of the Kane dvd, seems like a fitting send of for HHH month, actually their 2002 match where HHH vanquishes both Kane's push and his IC title would probably make more sense and it's on the dvd as well...nah i think i'll stick with the superior chain match option.

I understand this kind of gimmick only has so long a shelf life, but damn was it fun while it lasted. It's the kind of character I'd tune into a show just to see for five minutes. Now I tend to consider just switching off when Cena's on TV.

The annoying thing is even as a face, thug Cena was fun and gave good promos (though tamer obviously). So it's hardly impossible for Cena to be a good face.

So good, even if it does make the alliance look like jokes, or bigger jokes.

This reminds me, remember when Raw and Smackdown had an actual feud in 2005? there was this great Smackdown ending where a bunch of smackdown wrestlers piled into JBL's limo to head after some Raw guys, this left the entire SD mid card prey to a surprise Kane and Big Show attack.
Then there was the Raw where the teams had a fight in the parking lot and Batista got slammed through a car window, ah I love a good old ruck. Hopefully Team Tag Team match vs Team Excitement can at least come close to that.
