Although I still want another Bourne movie with Bourne in it, this looks awesome. Will see day 1.

I was hoping they'd do something other than the "You're even more bad ass than the previous bad ass" thing. Renner must have an incredible agent. Dude is taking over Hollywood. I'm not even sure why they bother giving him a supporting cast. He should just do every role himself.

This sounds better than the trailer comes across. I'd watch that.

Oh so there's actually a new director. I guess that's good because the 20 cuts per second + shaky cam were always quite annoying in the bourne movies.

Trailer looks kinda bland. Honestly, if they're injecting him and he's like Wolverine or something and heals super-fast and has "super" abilities, I'll probably skip this.

The dialogue sounds right out of a videogame. "We've never seen evaluations like this!"

I was half-expecting her to say: "Legend states that a hero will rise every 1000 years to fight the darkness" or some bullshit.

I'm glad that this doesn't star Damon. I feel that the story of the character of Jason Bourne has been told in an excellent trilogy, and I like that they're going to make this about someone else in the same "universe"

I know I've seen rumors that Frank Marshall ghost-directed a large portion of the film.

In the Avengers, he probably has to take down the Hulk at some point with his cheesy tranquilizer arrows.

In this movie, it looks like he might have to deal with a former Hulk (Norton).

Trailer looks fine..even if I'm pretty sure those shots of Pam and Noah are reused from Ultimatum (correct me if wrong).

The thing that bugs me most is that James Newton Howard is doing the score. He's one of my favourite composers, but I'm worried he might drop some of Powell's sort of iconic themes.

Though Liman admits he's a pain in the ass to work for, what else is new when it comes to shit hitting the fan between directors and studios?

Liman's a good director. Brad Pitt said he wouldn't have done Mr. and Mrs. Smith without Liman.
I like Liman as well, though I find Identity to be his best. Smith and Jumper look awesome but are lacking in other ways.

Don't like Renner, but the premise is somewhat intriguing. I always liked the backstory of the supersoldier program in the Bourne movies almost as much as I liked Bourne's arc. They show a lot of the same actors and characters from the previous movies too, so it has the potential to retain the same interesting tone and structure.

It sucks that they have to name it "The Bourne Something" in order to capitalize on the brand recognition of that trilogy even though Matt Damon isn't in it. It's like when the Fast and the Furious 2 and 3 didn't have Vin Diesel in them. Sure, it's the same vicarious, cathartic style of film, but you take something out of it when you take your big lead actor out of the picture.

Just don't let Paul Greengrass shakeycam ruin the cinematography again.

Shit, man. That sounds amazing. I wish it was a deleted scene lol.

Anyways this film doesn't look that interesting. But I'll end up checking it out on dvd.

Mr. and Mrs. Smith was fun at least. I really liked the last action scene in that one.

But yeah that's like saying meh to Campbell on Bond just because he made shitty Zorro and Green Lantern. Liman would be right at home on Bourne again.

I'd be stoked to see this, but Renner is in everything.

It's like two or three years ago when Shia Labeouf began popping up in every action flick as the lead... over-saturation.

Seems interesting, I'm a sucker for the Bourne movies so I'll probably end up seeing it.

Did it bother anyone else though that it seems like they're trying to portray this new guy as "better" than Bourne? With the whole "we've never seen evaluations like this" I was under the impression that Bourne was kinda special compared to the other Blackbriar/Treadstone agents (seeing as how he kills so many of them so easily). It just seems silly if they're really going to go with the whole "Yeah, that Bourne guy was okay, but man THIS GUY is on some next level shit!" kind of thing.

Bourne was special compared to the others, but with him gone and a new program beginning it seems Cross is the new top agent. And it does seem like they're regarding him as as good or better than Jason, but I'm sure in Bourne 5 or 6 we'll see them fight to determine it or something

It'd make sense if Cross is getting some kind of bio enhancement; he'd be physiologically better than Bourne just because Bourne was only trained, not juiced up on whatever super soldier drug (as far as we know).

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they are. Plus, didn't he get busted by Landy? I can see him coming back to help in an orange jumpsuit but definitely not as a program director or something.
