I was hoping they'd do something other than the "You're even more bad ass than the previous bad ass" thing. Renner must have an incredible agent. Dude is taking over Hollywood. I'm not even sure why they bother giving him a supporting cast. He should just do every role himself.

Trailer looks kinda bland. Honestly, if they're injecting him and he's like Wolverine or something and heals super-fast and has "super" abilities, I'll probably skip this.
The dialogue sounds right out of a videogame. "We've never seen evaluations like this!" I was half-expecting her to say: "Legend states that a hero will rise every 1000 years to fight the darkness" or some bullshit. |

Trailer looks fine..even if I'm pretty sure those shots of Pam and Noah are reused from Ultimatum (correct me if wrong).
The thing that bugs me most is that James Newton Howard is doing the score. He's one of my favourite composers, but I'm worried he might drop some of Powell's sort of iconic themes.

Don't like Renner, but the premise is somewhat intriguing. I always liked the backstory of the supersoldier program in the Bourne movies almost as much as I liked Bourne's arc. They show a lot of the same actors and characters from the previous movies too, so it has the potential to retain the same interesting tone and structure.
It sucks that they have to name it "The Bourne Something" in order to capitalize on the brand recognition of that trilogy even though Matt Damon isn't in it. It's like when the Fast and the Furious 2 and 3 didn't have Vin Diesel in them. Sure, it's the same vicarious, cathartic style of film, but you take something out of it when you take your big lead actor out of the picture. Just don't let Paul Greengrass shakeycam ruin the cinematography again. |

Looks great, don't quite understand the GAF hate for Renner; I think he's a fine actor.

More scenes of actors in rooms with monitors talking about tracking down agents? Fucking really?

Anyways this film doesn't look that interesting. But I'll end up checking it out on dvd. Should have went back to Liman. |

Seems interesting, I'm a sucker for the Bourne movies so I'll probably end up seeing it.
Did it bother anyone else though that it seems like they're trying to portray this new guy as "better" than Bourne? With the whole "we've never seen evaluations like this" I was under the impression that Bourne was kinda special compared to the other Blackbriar/Treadstone agents (seeing as how he kills so many of them so easily). It just seems silly if they're really going to go with the whole "Yeah, that Bourne guy was okay, but man THIS GUY is on some next level shit!" kind of thing. |

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they are. Plus, didn't he get busted by Landy? I can see him coming back to help in an orange jumpsuit but definitely not as a program director or something.
