#1
![]() Information -
Box Art - ![]() ![]() High up in his penthouse office, a mysterious lunatic holds the infamous Twisted Metal tournament every year. Who is he? Calypso. And his thirst for chaos and destruction can only be quenched with death. Contestants for Calypso’s Twisted Metal tournament are selected from all over the world to compete for the ultimate prize: Survival. Behind the wheel of the most twisted vehicles imaginable, contestants battle to the death until one, lone victor remains standing. The champion gets one wish granted by Calypso. But there’s a twist. This year, instead of offering the champion money, power or fame, rumor has it that Calypso is able to offer more…so much more. However, as contestants step up to prove themselves worthy of the Twisted Metal championship, a mysterious figure is tracking Calypso and preparing to strike back — someone who knows the truth behind where and how Calypso is getting his amazing prizes. Characters -
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Deathmatch : In Death Match, time is not on your side. The first player to score the set amount of points — or the player with the highest score — after a set amount of minutes is the winner of the round. Play for one minute or 90. The game host can set the number of rounds. The only end is death.
Team Deathmatch : Team Death Match consists of two teams battling to reach a set amount of points OR the most kills after a set amount of time. The game host can set the number of rounds.
Last Man Standing : In Last Man Standing, each player begins with a finite number of lives. As the battle rages, lives diminish until the last player left alive wins. The game host can set the number of rounds. In the end, only one can claim victory.
Team Last Man Standing: : In Team Last Man Standing, two to four teams can battle to death. Each team begins a battle with a finite number of lives shared between its team members. The team left alive at the end of the battle is crowned the winner.
Hunted : In Hunted, one unlucky player is tagged as "prey" while all the other remaining players are tagged "hunters." The hunters must pursue their marked prey until he’s completely massacred.
Hunted Team : In Team Hunted, each team has a player tagged as "prey." However, all other team members are tagged as "hunters". The hunters must pursue their marked prey until he’s completely massacred.
Nuke : Nuke is a twisted take on capture the flag. Capture the other team’s leader and drag him back to the missile launcher at your base. Then, by sacrificing the leader into the missile launcher, you can launch a missile directly into the enemy’s statue. However, the enemy can shoot down the missile in the air. Destroy the enemy's statue, and your team wins.

Why did you list the race controls before the superior and default classic controls!? Off with the OP's head!

Exact same boat as I'm in. Have a Vita, accessories, and 4 games paid off. Plus after playing the demo, just not sure it's something that I would day 1. Who knows though, I'll probably talk myself into it anyways.

Such fond memories of playing TM1 as a kid. But I don't anything quite captures that first momment of Mario Kart vehicle combat. TM was awesome at the time, but even the latest MK don't feel as great as SNES MK versus when it first came out. |

Okay, so I've been meaning to ask.
From the looks of things, it seems this Twisted Metal is going for a gangland theme? Sweet Tooth and his goons, Dollface and hers, so on It doesn't seem to be individually-focused any longer. If I'm getting this wrong, someone please correct me because I'm not a fan of this idea. |

Never played a TM game before, but I think each character had their own story, like a fighting game, right? |

Leave it like it is right now, no clever pun or anything, it looks so classy, that's why I entered the thread.
If it was something like Twisted Metal |OT| HURRR METAL FAST CARS KILL EVERYONE or something like that, it loses it's charm. |

Yeah I know that part, I want to see what the process for actually uploading them and getting them in-game is. I need to know if it's restricted to those who already own the game. I'd like to run a contest and give away a copy of the game, but don't know if I can do one based around creating a GAF skin or something along those lines.

And yeah, the old games had a CG intro for each character, then you played a bunch of stages and then there was an ending for the character. Basically like Tekken. It was really cool for the time. |

There will be only three (or four) playable characters in the campaign - Needles Kane, Dollface, Mr. Grimm, and (possibly) Preacher - but each can use any vehicle. Each character will have three endings, depending on the difficulty.

I equally want this game to successful due to it being a good idea that hasn't been done a lot recently and that Jaffe worked on it.
