Fake video game stuff always bugs me in TV shows/movies. How were Britten and Steve speaking to the guy in Stockholm? I didn't see any webcam set up, and neither of them were wearing headsets, while the guy with whom they were speaking to was using both. lol

It could just be Britten's mind trying to take the blame off of himself for his son's death (He was drinking that night, wasn't he?) by inventing a conspiracy where people were trying to kill him, and ended up killing his son instead. That might also explain why they found out about Rex's child just days before they were supposed to move. A move in which Britten's realities would be tested to the point of one eventually disappearing forever. It would make sense if the fake reality was the one that was trying to stop itself from being erased.

Really, in the span of this episode that chick left her "fairly progressive" parents and has now been adopted by her dead ex boyfriend's parents? This show went off da rail and I'm really gonna miss it. :(
You know, after the first couple episodes I figured the reason people weren't watching it was because of it being too high concept for Joe Proceduralwatcher, but now I'm pretty sure it's because these cases are dumb and obvious even by typical procedural standards. I don't watch any of those so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but your standard episode of Law and Order or CSI isn't as bone headed as the shit in this show, is it? |

Yeah the show's procedural stuff is weak but pretty good for a laugh. I don't see it as the focus of the show though so it doesn't bother me. Only a .7 last night. It'd be nice if NBC put this up on Netflix to grow the show and came back with 13 new eps next year as a replacement show again. I hope this season ends with some closure. |

It's nice to want things, but there is no way even NBC would renew a show with a .7 that is dangerously close to falling below 2 million viewers. Those are CW numbers.

Wow what the hell, for some reason I thought this show was doing extremely well in the ratings, I just looked and they are terrible. That's a shame, this is probably the best new show of the season in my opinion and to not have the mystery answered is going to suck.

It didn't need amazing ratings at the start, it's on NBC. If it had just held on to ~80% of its premiere ratings it would have pretty easily gotten a second season. There's nothing any network can do but cancel a show that loses almost 2/3 of its audience over the course of a 13 episode season.

Dammit, seems like this would be a good episode, but torrential rains have hijacked the local station :\

She was, but she miscarried a while before the "accident."

Great episode, best of the series. And there was no need for two police cases! That's probably the shape the show should have been from the beginning.
If i were to nitpick i would say that there was no reason for Britten to have this whole thing happen 6 months after the accident. No trigger or catalyst other than it being near the end of the season so there's need to be a ramp-up. If we hadn't been so sure about there being a conspiracy then it could have just as well ended w\o going back to Rex's reality at have the option of it really being the end of it. Also, i still feel the episodes are disjointed. If you didn't watch last week you wouldn't have known Britten was on the verge of leaving his job by how it went unmentioned this ep. |

Yeah, it was, even though it didn't make a lot of sense. I mean why would Marshall Flinkman knock them off the road and then not make sure that at least Michael is really dead? They saw each other, he couldn't be sure if Michael would or wouldn't remember him, he obviously had enough time to do it... and shouldn't there have been at least scratch marks on his car? But the execution was great, his memory slowly coming back, the creepy singing, the emotional impact of having lost his son. Too bad the show doesn't get another season.

EDIT: Didn't want to sound like I was bagging on the show. I stick to my earlier complaints but the last ep was pretty balls-out with the best parts of how the show works. Even after all they show I think I still might believe in blue over red. hrmm

Such a shame, by far the best new show of the season. The only problem is that the writers never really figured out the right format. The procedural part was purely incidental and should have been treated as such with the major focus being on his family life. If they had to have cases they should have had him focus on a case in one world which he is able to solve through influences in the other world, not run two simultaneous unrelated cases that felt like filler. I really wish they had given it a pitty second season, 13 more episodes to wrap it up.

Shame this is canceled because the last episode was really good, and it's been steadily ramping up the further they got from "police procedural in 2 universes" and the closer they moved to psychological study + whodunit.
Oh well, hopefully they resolve it well enough. |
