For people who think they have screwed themselves out of the Pitwall trophy.

Handy tip: if you press triangle (i think) to look at the persons profile on the pitwall a load more times come up, these count as challenges.
I easily got it once i seen this just from beating my friends times easily.

Small question guys.

So, let's say on a particular "world" i beat all my friends, or am real close to them on every challenges. Why does the game tell me, when i look at the global world (not worlwide but i mean this area in the game) ranking, that i'm 10 minutes behind those friends ?

Probably because you have more unplayed events than your friends. For every event you haven't played/finished the game adds a significant amount of time to your total time. Have you unlocked the supercars yet?

In the end I managed to get the Trophy :D Thanks anyway.

I also bought the DLC, it has some nice tracks. Also, no signs of framerate drops or tearing in there, thank God.
Really a cool game. Online multiplayer would have been awesome, but oh well...

Do you know where can I find the soundtrack?

You can only see the different times if they're your friend. You can't see that info from random strangers.

Why transfer when you can just go to your DL list on your Vita after buying it on PS3. I literally bought it on PS3 and not 15 seconds later I checked the Vita and it was there.

I see, thanks.

I think that the Pitwall is a bit flawed though. Like the first 4 entries on the list is about times where i've faster than people on my friends list. Why do i need 4 spots on the Pitwall that tells me that i've beaten my friends' time? And earlier i beat a time with my 2nd PSN account, but this isnt mentioned anywhere on the pitwall on my main PSN account.

EDIT: Or maybe it just takes some time to update the Pitwall with those times. I now see that another time i beat with my 2nd PSN account arrived at my main account Pitwall :)

No, you just need at least one medal in every event you currently have. Then the second batch of events gets unlocked.

Did they fix the Pitwall trick where you could press X fast after beating a time and then do the same challenge again? I tried that, but it didnt work, the challenge gets registered at once.

I think that the only way i can get the Pitwall trophy is to delete 4 people on my friends list. I found one track where my time is like 1:13, but i can do the track about 10 seconds faster. So then i can use my 2nd PSN account. The reason why i need to delete people from my friends list is because if i beat my time with like one second using my 2nd PSN account, then a Pitwall challenge will only (from what i've seen at least) list a time of another friend.

I think someone posted this already but if not..

Look through your times and see where you're 2nd or less. See who has 1st and find his name on the pitwall (if it's there). Press triangle on his name, and you'll see the times he has. If you find his name as well as the time you would like to beat, press X on it, beat it, and it'll count towards the trophy.

That's how I got that trophy. Sorry if someone already discussed this. Trying to help those that need the trophy since I also thought I was stuck until someone mentioned that trick.

You don't have to delete people from your FL. Just beat your time once with your alt. account, then send yourself a challenge. Repeadetly beat the challenge on your main account until you receive the trophy.

Nice thx, indeed, i had forgotten to do the last challenges... There is so much to do in this game! You open it and you begin to attack new friend records, and 2 hours later... you're still beating records. Too much challenges!

The first campaign DLC, RC Pro Am, is great IMO. New environment (RC competition warehouse) that's unique and lots of events in it. Cheap price for good content.

I haven't bothered to get any of the DLC cars though.

I'm having the worst time with the Super Car and Rally events, later in the worlds. I can usually get the silver time, but I cannot swing the gold. Any tips on how to handle turns and steer well, without steering too long or going off the acceleration too much?

Sweet, i got the Pitwall trophy :D

Come to think of it, if you paint yourself into a corner by setting your best times before getting this trophy, it is very easy to get around it by just buying the DLC. Then you can set really bad times there and use two PSN accounts and beat the times a little at the time.

Yes, there is one for beating 20 challenges as well.

As far as i know you can get 8 secret vehicles by doing the following things:

- Two secret vehicles after scoring 10 and 20 goals at soccer in the Playground
- Two secret vehicles after scoring 10 and 20 points at basketball in the Playground
- Two secret vehicles after playing 1 and 2 hours in the Playground
- Two secret vehicles after beating 10 and 20 times in the Pitwall

I loveee this game but now i understand the cheap price.
In the trophy list you were able to se the name of the 2 addons. And seeing that the AM cup thing is oly 100kb to download its just an unlock key. So the game and both addons were ready at begining. And more for the trophies whore u will not 100% witout the addons. So the full game ,is more 7+3+3= 13€

They try this business model instead yeah. But the main game does still give excellent value for it's price in my opinion. If the main game is enough for someone, then there isnt much need to buy the DLC, unless you care about trophies. I mean, enough as in that you dont need to buy the DLC to contunie a story or anything like that.

I think I've hit the wall, as far as trophies go in this game. I can't do the fastest times on the Supercar races, no matter how many times I try. I'm always at least a .5 behind. I've tried using analog, control pad, analog for acceleration, buttons, whatever. I can't get the hang of it. I can't get any consistency out of myself, and it's frustrating the shit out of me. Oh, well.

I find some of the supercar races to be easier on the Vita actually due to the buttons being digital (as in not being pressure sensitive). But some of the challenges are indeed damn hard. I cant for the life of me get the gold on Hot Water, definitelly the hardest thing i've encountered in gaming for quite some time.

I wish that there was possible to hotkey the reset function, so it would just be to push a button to restart, and also to skip the red/yellow/green light at every reset. No problem to press start and choose reset there, but after playing 50+ times on the same track, it sucks to make a mistake at the first turn and either having to drive a round or waiting for the lights to count down after resetting.

Try changing the camera angle. It worked for me on a couple of races where i was stuck and just couldn't improve my time. After a while i changed the camera angle and suddenly i was able to take turns much better than with the one i normally prefer, which is aerial.

If i'm not mistaken, the update was only somewhere around 10-30MB. Not that big concidering that the game is 600MB+ large. I also remember seeing the DLC trophies before the update was out.

Finally managed to get the platinum trophy! :)

(i havnt tried the DLC much yet)

Some of these challenges are really though in my opinion. I wonder if the game would be easier if there was a "follow cam" view, that you see the car from behind all the time like other racing games. My biggest problem in the game is that i cant alway maintain a straight line, so i keep crashing into the walls.

I'm in a pretty rough situation, I got all of the trophies except the pit-wall one so now I just have to wait for my friends to beat some of my times. I know there are a few little tricks to try here and there but none of them seem to be benefiting me.

Anyway, if you liked the main game you should definitely try out the DLC. It's really just more of the same in terms of structure but it's an entire new set of events with new tracks so if that's what you're looking for you'll probably love it. I had tons of fun with it myself.

As far as the camera goes I just used the one that's zoomed out the farthest and I didn't have many issues. I experimented with a few different control schemes as well and ended up going with the left stick for steering, circle for gas, and x for brake (weird, I know). That combination worked out very well for me.

I just wish I could get this stupid platinum... I tend to not worry about trophies unless I really get into a game so I didn't know how much I was messing myself up until it was too late.

The simplest trick to get the pitwall trophy is just to juggle two PSN accounts. If you painted yourself into a corner with too good times to beat yourself, then you can just buy the DLC pack. If you have already set too good times on the DLC pack as well, there is another DLC pack coming up, so you got one more chance :)

Yeah, i have already bought the first DLC pack :) I just havnt gotten around to try it much yet. I tried the first level, but i wanted to platinum the main game first before trying much of the DLC.

Same here, i prefer the arial camera. But i still find it hard to get a straigh line sometime. It variates from level to level though, some are much easier than others. On the Vita i use the d-pad for streering, X for acceleration and square for brake. I pretty much never use the brakes though, i just let go of the gas instead.

I know this has probably been covered many times in this thread but I'll ask anyway since I'm not sure; can I download the PS3 version of the game for free after picking up the free Vita version? If not then I'm not sure how I could manage the two account trick. The one solution I'm trying right now is to add the three guys directly under me on the overall leaderboard since I know some of their times will be slightly lower than the ones I currently have. It won't be easy to beat any of them though since I did a good bit of whittling down my times. My times still have lots of room for improvement on the DLC so maybe I just need to figure out something there... Unfortunately I don't have a single friend who has played it. :(

I hear you on the straights, that is a slight issue for me sometimes as well. I think that was actually the reason why I switched back to the analog stick on the Vita (after using the d-pad for a good hour or two). The d-pad seemed better at first but I found analog steering + button gas/brake to be the best of both worlds sine the analog stick seems to allow for finer adjustments on the straightaways. And yeah, pressing the brake is a rarity for me as well, I basically only used it in a few instances with the rally cars.

Have fun with the DLC, all of those trophies are super easy to pick up compared to the main game!

Yeah, once you download something from the PS Store, it will be in your download history, which is shared between the PS3, PSP and Vita. I did the Pitwall trophy on my PS3 using two PSN accounts.

Speaking of this, i love how the PS3 and Vita version works together. Instead of manually having to move the savegame back and forth, it just automatically sync your progress to the server. So if i get a gold medal on the Vita version, then start up the PS3 version, then i automatically have the gold medal there as well.

And yeah, pressing the brake is a rarity for me as well, I basically only used it in a few instances with the rally cars.

Have fun with the DLC, all of those trophies are super easy to pick up compared to the main game!
Yeah, it is easier to correct the car on the straights with using an analog stick indeed. This is one reason why i wonder how a follow-cam would work for this game, since then i assume it would be much easier to avoid the walls. On the PS3 i use the analog stick and the L2/R2 buttons. I tried to switch to the analog stick on the Vita, and it works good too, but i still prefer the d-pad there :) Yeah, using the breaks on the rally car can be needed indeed.

Thanks, i will probably try more of the DLC later on today :)

Finally got my Platinum trophy!!!!

I thought I was screwed on the Pitwall, but a friend of mine sent me a challenge a week ago and it won't go away so I kept replaying it until I got the Pitwall trophy. Such a dumb trophy though!

First Platinum, by the way!

Wow, that's great news. I'm familiar with how the download history stuff works but I figured this particular game wouldn't work that way since only the Vita version was free. Now I have an excuse to replay everything! :)

Hm, now that you mention it, i'm not so sure afterall, sorry hehe :\ However, when i bought the Vita version, the PS3 version automatically turned up in my download history. Unless Sony did something special with the free Vita version, i would assume that the PS3 version should appear in your download list. Motorstorm RC is being promoted as one of the cross platform games, so i'd be surprised if they locked out the PS3 version. But since the Vita version was free for a limited time, who knows. Please let me know regardless, i'm curious about it.

Ah that's no problem, it is kind of an unusual situation. I'll have to check it when I get the chance later tonight. I'm sure it's been mentioned somewhere in this thread, though.

You could try calling customer support but I doubt you'll have much luck with something like that. The only logical thing to do at this point is to buy a Vita. You don't want to invest $2.99 in nothing, you know?

They did do something special, free Vita version doesn't come with the PS3 version. If someone got the free Vita version then they have to pay for the PS3 version.

When you buy one of the DLC you get both versions.
