Didn't see this until now but Kotaku reached out to one of the editors from Gameblog.fr for an interview. There was also a response from Activision (presumably Activision US, different from Activision FR who blacklisted Gameblog.fr).

Activision doesn't blacklist journalists. We believe this was a misunderstanding and are working towards a resolution.
