I have that exact Denon AVR you recommended Kamps, I've heard mixed stuff. Some dudes saying after months of use it stops working occasionally, the only way to fix it is to unplug it and plug it back in. Others have said they've had it for a long time with no issue. Got it coupled with Denon speakers and sub for 200$ so I couldn't pass it up. I've had it for a few weeks and like it so far.

Good input then. I just looked for the cheapest good name on Accessories4less (awesome HiFi site. Refurb 4 lyfe). There's another Denon model on A4L for the same price. Maybe it doesn't have the hardware problems this one seems to.

Next step up is almost $200 though, and if you're going $175, I'd urge ya just go $250 and get a nice $400 AVR refurb with full warranty for $250. Most of my stuff is refurbished. As an electrical engineer who use to be a QA tech, I can tell you all with certainty that refurbished stuff is scrutinized much more than normal retail on it's way out the door. /2cents

Dayton is like BIC. Their stuff isn't flashy, but making speakers isn't rocket science. It's all in the build quality and materials. Especially in this prince range. Really solid brand. I'd take them 7 days a week over the Sonys I had listed.

My impressions were it sounded nothing like HnC. Same TDE producers perhaps but completely different sound. Dirtier and darker sound. Not a fan. EDIT: Semi-relevant. J. Cole Interview. I like the way he talks about putting value back on music, interesting topic that I can see being good for discussion. I think both TDE and Ye's approaches are both valid, and a clear example of it going wrong is Yelawolf with his Trunk Muzik series. Then again, on the other side you have people like KRIT who build the foundation with free releases first, but then offer premium products (physical or vinyl) for the die hards who go back. What do you guys think about artists attempting to put some value on their music?

J. Cole is right. It terrible how I can not give J. Cole $$ for the Warm Up and Friday Night Lights. TDE is on the right path by putting a value on all their music. I'm not sure if it will work out for KRIT. He gave us all quality mixtapes and hopefully the people come out and support his actually retail album.

This is true. I think he's just very caught up in making a definitive Southern classic, and getting the unique opportunity to work with so many of the Southern artists he envies and grew up on.

Thing is, features are hardly a crutch for K.R.I.T.. Dude's a one man machine.
