Palermo has 4 wins, 1 draw and 2 loses against Milan since 09/10 season. So not exactly some crazy dream to have hopes of winning over them.

Safer than Phil. Which, in a defender, could be said to amount more or less cleanly to "better" - but I don't think it's the full story.

Gomes is second choice and soesn't have the confidence of the coaching staff. Friedel is great but he's 40 and will surely retire soon. Wiese would be a good move for Spurs.
