Just popping in from vacation to note this
Not Lough, High - 30,000cR Earn a score of 250,000 in any mission in the Reach Campaign. The final weekly that Bungie.net and any site using the Reach API will be able to see. Somewhat anticlimatic re-using a weekly we saw last month. Not even a Pillar of Autumn LASO. |

I haven't played anything on it in MM, but walking through it, it seemed alright (add in the Heavy variant, but not use CTF and Assault?). I don't know why 343 doesn't remove Wayont because its framerate issues, Renegade because of its exploitation of the Banshee/tower without a soft kill zone, and stop running Slayer down the throat of BTB players. Plus with the addition of Heavies, it's goddam RARE to see Capture the Flag or Assault anymore. I felt at least something like CTF/Assault on Hemorrhage or, to an extent, Abridged were decent. But instead, we get garbage like Heavies on Spire and Slayer on every map.

Here is a quickly thrown together background I'll be using for my project. The image will be the same size as the game window and the objects you see will move as the player moves in the level. Floating platforms where players to fight will come in later. I'll try take more screengrabs before the week is out. I'm actually using the Spartan sprites from Halo: Zero which I believe is just a 2D fan-made Halo:CE game. However my sprites will change to your Spartan's colours as used in Reach.
![]() Currently I have your character spawn in initially. Then, as if by some dark magic, players from the last game you've played start spawning in as my game grabs their data (god bless threading). Now All I gotta do is give 'em health/shields, the ability to jump, some means of firing their guns, a scoreboard and a main menu and I'll be done :p |

It's my final year project for Uni. Just making a game in XNA which uses Web Services (such as our beloved, soon to depart, API). I'm just demonstrating how these web services can shape gameplay and player experiences. So, my game features names and players which are somewhat familiar to you, in that you have played with and against them in your last game of Reach. I could tie things like current Reach challenges with my own in-game player investment system. Players health and damage settings could be changed in my game to be the actual player's skill level in Reach. Things like a player dealing their k/d in damage. This will actually serve to give the game a false sense of difficulty with better players in Reach dealing more (or taking more) damage in my game.
I'm gonna handle this one solo for now as I'm due to demo it on Thursday :p I totally want to carry this on beyond Uni (without the API, obviously) so perhaps it can be a HaloGaf effort. We have artists, musicians, voice actors, programmers, critics, journalists, students and everyone in between so there is absolutely no reason why we all couldn't chip in together and make our own Halo game for us to complain about. |

But they also play Call of Duty (if the developer of the current month's title supports competitive gaming). And I think they are interested in the new Counter Strike game? Not sure on that one though. |

To UK/Euro HaloGAF: kiss goodbye to any unspent GAME loyality card discounts/points or any unused vouchers. They have also decided to keep any deposits on pre-orders you may have given them and they are refusing any refunds or returns. It's also likely that your local store may be already closed and shuttered.
Hope no one in HaloGAF gets fucked over.

I like having Game on the high street, but I dont think I purchased anything from them for years. In a way they did bring about it themselves, as a specialist game store, they sure did overprice and turn gamers away lol. EDIT: I do hope Game have a firesale though, all but one of my controllers are wrecked lol, and my 360 is in pretty bad shape, thats the kind of stuff I prefer picking up in a shop rather than using online for. My xbox now refuses to read disks, luckily I have a few games installed, but I certainly need to pick up a new xbox before Halo 4 (and all the other brilliant games) comes out. Im hoping for a price drop before then.

Just want to put my 2 cents in again regarding the HaloGAF montage. Try to to keep it to one or two of your absolute best clips, I'm sure there are a ton of people who have submitted stuff, and wacky and zany clips that you find funny are fine but if each person sends in four 30 second clips it's going to drag on forever. I've seen enough painful, 12 minute long MLG montages filled with fluff to know nobody really enjoys watching Halo clips for very long. I'd rather watch everyone's best, versus everyones kinda funny clips, y'know?
