I traded my launch iPad 3 with 4G to a guy for his wifi only model that he bought 1.5 months back. The difference in heat is instantly apparent, the old one used to get hot quite quickly with light web browsing, games, etc. The new one hasn't gotten hot yet, no matter what I do with it. Did Apple quietly fix the heat issues? If you've got a iPad that gets really hot, swap it for another model and see if it's the same for you.

Its not universal because when the iphone app was made the ipad app didnt exist. also they dont want to force people to pay for the ipad version if they just want the iphone version and vice-versa. so instead of it being a 6 dollar its two 3 dollar ones.
also nothing is "so great about it" its just very very very nicely designed and a joy to use. its not going to magically make you a great tweeter or anything. if you value good app design and want something a little more engaging and fun to use than the freebies go for it |

I'm finding it impossible to delete music from my iPad. I tried removing them manually, by way of synching, pretty much every way you cant think of... itunes tells me the ipad has no music but they're still there... and when I synch there they are again (and yes, synching is unchecked, obviously). I need space and have 9GB worth of music in it that I cannot remove. Help?

My GF is using my iPad and won't have a smartphone till iPhone 5
What app can we use to text each other from iPad to iPhone? Keep in mind the iPad is under the same apple ID as the iPhone for iMessage won't work (it does but it's confusing texting your own name and it doesn't notify you). |

Just got the new iPad, my first Apple tablet (was previously operating on a jailbroken Nook Color as my makeshift tablet of choice). I've had iOS devices before (multiple iTouches), but it's my first real foray into the iPad tablet OS. Anyone have apps to recommend to me (games, entertainment modules, etc.) and ways to optimize and maximize my iPad experience?

CF Card Reader
#12323
Has anybody tried ordering from MIC?
http://store.micgadget.com/ipad3-car...or-ipad-3.html ![]() I'm looking for a CF reader and this one looks reasonable @ $35. Has anybody had any luck with this company-or are there other readers that you might recommend? |

Another option would be the Griffin PowerDock or Arrowhead. The PowerDock is purely to charge both iPad and iPhone, and the Arrowhead is a minimalist stand. Props up your iPad and it's very small and easy to store away (if needed). |

This is an NBC Olympics App issue, there are no technical restrictions in video apps streaming audio in the background. Many video apps allow you to bring up the audio playback controls by swiping to the right over the quick app switcher and pressing play. It is unknown as to why the app does not have this feature. I suspect it is because it was a poorly made app that wasn't well tailored to any particular platform and instead was built on top of Adobe, however I can assure you that this is not a limitation of iOS.

This may be a dumb question. But with the av adapter with hdmi. I know you can mirror to a tv or monitor or whatever. But does it mirror everything? I'm watching a webstream on the ipad and want to put it on the monitor (as the work computer sucks and cant handle it). Would that display on the monitor?

First thing I noticed, this thing is heavy and has quite bit more weight to it then I thought, which is a very good thing because it takes a good nudge to knock this thing over. Comes with 2 inserts, the standard is for the ipad without a case and the other is bigger for cases (thinner cases, they say remove the insert all together if you have a big case), my ipad with the Apple smart case fit fine. Also like being about to place it either portrait or landscape. Looks fantastic, and I thank you for introducing it to me.

I'll be ordering it soon, since no one here in Toronto that I've checked (including the Apple Store) stocks that specific iPad version. |
