I think you just gave Myoclonic Jerk a heart attack! That or a stroke as he tried to furiously type something out on the keyboard. Oddly enough, I think that both Lotus drivers actually have a really good shot at getting pole or podium. In particular Grosjean appears to be right on "track" so to speak. He also won here in GP2 last year so is smile is definitely comfortable with the close barriers :-)

I agree with you on that one on both accounts. Too bad they couldn't make a terrace where the tunnel exits so that the view is unobstructed.

Yes, I'm definitely not a comedian.

Also of interest, is that both Lotus and Caterham have signed on a lot more sponsors before the Monaco Grand Prix. I don't know whether some of the sponsors are just for the Monaco Grand Prix or not. But Petrov "brought in" Russian Helicopters which is the evolution from MiG I believe and there are some other sponsors on the car as well.

Meanwhile, Lotus has brought in a big three-year long sponsorship with a finance company. I will share all the other stuff later. But it all bodes well for having more competitive racing!

It's a shame, he's so stoic in almost everything you see/read about him (even when he signed my cap in Melbourne and I congratulated him on having a drive this year, he just sort of nodded) but I still find myself rooting for him. Guess I think of him as being a little Kimi-like in that regard, just itching for him to be a little bit emotive (and even, maybe happy ;) ).

I'm actually relieved about this. I know there was talk of likely tension with Petrov and the crew at Caterham (how they may find him abrasive or something? At least, the language barrier may have proven to be an issue) but with a Russian sponsor coming on, it's either a sign that things are going quite well, or they will be. Quite happy about that :)

Bahaha, that wasn't the intention! I just think that Kimi has the experience with the track to be able to navigate it around and being shorter and tighter, it's less about ballsy moves all the time and more about driving really, really well with consistency... if you know what I mean.

Same here, considering how he came to F1 he MUST have some natural talent right? Forget GP2 he raced LADA'S!

Yeah it definitely sounds like he is safe at the moment! Here are two press releases:

Quote:
Caterham F1 team has today announced that it has signed a deal with SIBUR to be an official Team Partner. SIBUR, the largest petrochemical company in Russia and Eastern Europe, has also confirmed that it is continuing the partnership agreement it began in 2011 with Vitaly Petrov in his new role as Race Driver for the Anglo / Malaysian Caterham F1 Team. BBC coverage for me this weekend. Croft still thinks he's on the radio, Lazenby has the personality of a plank of wood and frankly, if you don't have EJ to piss people off and say things that others won't say then what's the point?
