You know, considering the past difficulties he's had with editors, he might have ended it intentionally just to avoid being strung along in a direction he didn't want to go.

I think he had beef with Kodansha, considering he dropped his contract with them abruptly last month and asked for the original copies to all of his work back from them. That would explain the rush to the ending, and the off-screen Lifemaker fight (which I wanted to see, dammit).

I guess those would be external factors so it still wouldn't be a completely "voluntary" ending... doesn't make it any less bullshit though.

I know it's what everyone has said, but seriously... So where's the ending? Love Hina had a good, solid ending, so I was expecting one in this series too once it finally ended, but he seems to have forgotten to write one. This chapter goes through what happens to everyone in the cast except for the most important thing, about Negi and Asuna and whoever it is Negi likes. That the series never resolves one of its central issues certainly does bring it down overall, for sure. And this from the same person who made Love Hina... it's sad. :(

(The character bios of what they did in the future was kind of interesting, because that's not something Love Hina had, but seriously, the missing part of the ending was far more important.)

My god, the anime staff is really clueless. I can't think of a more contrived scenario where they can extend this bullshit and have Miho lose or some garbage like that. It's also such a shame that the director came up with the idea. It's like he is not getting paid to fucking direct the anime. I honestly thought the dude had balls when they showed him earlier but he fell to the "brain malfunction" disease that is affecting everyone in the series :(

Yeah he is easily the worst in the group, though fortunately they gave Renzou Shima many more lines that one can easily forget koneko, and the first to be friends and forgive Rin, which was great.

Pretty certain such a magazine exists in real life too. I know Shueisha (owners of Jump) have one for idols and models.

The only reason anyone knows what Mashiro looks like is because of the news story. They were at a convenience store, so they were probably there to buy Jump and are fans of Reversi. Just because Bakuman is a poisonous piece of shit without any redeeming values doesn't mean you should make disingenuous assumptions.

Now that I've had a chance to sick back and think about it, the world of OP is ridiculously overpowered. Not DBZ levels, obviously. But Jesus Christ, it's almost as if Oda has no boundaries. Kizaru can move at the speed of light. SPEED OF LIGHT for fucks sake. Why didn't his editors tell him that was a horrible ass idea? Theoretically, Kizaru should stomp every character in the series with complete ease.
