I appreciate her character. There really is no one on the show I would think of as a bad character in terms of development and complexity. That doesn't mean I can't mock her and dislike her though.

That said, I'm not missing her. The show doesn't seem to have much to say about her/with her right now, and that's fine by me. I imaine her role will get bigger again when its warranted.

Seriously though, this season has been a total mindfuck if you're an avid TV viewer. Patty Chase serving LSD, Lorelai's daughter having sex with Angel's son. (I'm sure the fanfiction world is salivating, at least would have circa 2004) Rory Gilmore channeling her grandmother/January Jones.

Right, I hate both of them. People who like them are probably the same ones who were to blame for all the lame episodes of the Sopranos that centered on family and dream sequences instead of the awesome scenes with Tony shooting guys and fucking bitches.

Don Draper - he's living like there's no tomorrow, because there isn't one!

These are the reasons we watch these shows for: badass guys being badass!

Don't run away.

Meg, Meg, Meg. I wonder what dominoes your actions will topple over. I am happy that the character is bringing more to the table with a Don that no longer has a "pre-angry Betty" on his hands. She is a young girl deciding to go for for dreams. Don clearly never desired this dynamic in a wife, especially one that has proven utility in the workplace.

Having "good ol'" Joan back is really good on Mad Men's part. She is even taking more of a passive liking to Peggy. I'm liking their interactions and I hope it continues throughout the season.

So, anyone have an idea what the elevator shaft thing was about symbolically? Perhaps I'm looking into it too much.

The edit with Don in the kitchen to Don at the Creative Cookery Kitchen was good stuff. Uncertainty for the man all around including the bomb of a presentation. From Peggy in the copyright room to Peggy in the bathroom to Peggy in the conference room, (and as we have seen in past seasons) she is a pushing force. It doesn't make for a very good "Don's wife" though.

I wouldn't say it's the best of the season. However, between Pete being a whiner with women again, Joan back on gossip patrol and Don laying back with Roger with a drink.

The directing for the steam heart wiped out for Pete was good and funny. That pain is yours Pete, that's pain yours.

The cogs are turning back to classic Mad Men.

Three of the show's best.
