Wait isn't that the scene where the whore says something like "She must be very beautiful" and Littlefinger replies "Not really. Impeccable bloodlines, though"? Yeah, sounds like true love all right.

The duplicity (& triplicity if that's a word) is already so incredibly evident that we don't need an obvious metaphor for things are not really as they appear/sound. Heck, Littlefinger is the personification of it. I will say that I like how they transform the one girl from being clueless to apparently running the place in Littlefinger's absence- showing how quickly she adapts to the world outside of the North. |

I gave my take on the scene a few posts back. I just think that it was an interesting way of handling back story and character development quickly in a scene that is able to be more than just mere exposition between characters. There is so much being said, and not said (and moaned, lol), and they way it occurs gives the scene so much more oomph than if it had just been two characters talking to each other and reminiscing.

But I guess this is the "safe" thread for people like me. Yet, on the other hand... the other thread pointed me in the direction of Shae porn, so I'm a little conflicted here. |

I'm in the middle of 1x07, and I have a few questions I need clearing up:
- So, Ned inferred from the fact that Joffrey's hair color is blonde that a) he is a bastard and b) that the Incest Twins must have defenestrated Bran? - It's been a while since I watched the pilot. Who killed the Mad King? Jamie? So did Jamie have the throne? I was confused by what Queen Incest said. |

Yes. Jamie was in the Kingsguard, which meant it was his responsibility to keep the "mad king" safe, but he stabbed him in the back during Robert's uprising. |

Also yes Jaime killed the Mad King. He was a member of his kingsguard, and betrayed him. Jaime didn't have the throne though. He was sitting there when Ned arrived at the Red Keep, and there was an awkward moment, but Jaime made no claim to the crown. I think Robert was the leader of the rebellion, so he ended up getting the throne. All of this is just fuzzy for me though. :p |

In one of the later episodes, Ned is telling the story of how he found Jamie sitting on the throne when he conquered the city. |

I ought to just read the damn books to avoid the spoiler bullshit that's bound to pop up from time to time. I had to avoid harry potter anything online for like 8 years. Anyway just saw the second episode.Loved it, the sex stuff doesn't bother me in the slightest but I def wouldn't watch this with my parents.

I do wonder whether he intentionally had kids with Cercei though or whether they were accidents. |

Just watched the first ep (had to wait til my girlfriend was here if I wanted to keep my balls) and loved it. So much shit is going to hit the fan this ep.
Only one small shot of Arya though :( She's by far my favourite character, so that was disappointing. Clearly she's going to get a bit of action with the lad she's with being hunted down, though. Edit: Ep 2 has leaked? HNGG. Do I watch now and have an extra wait or resist? Hmm. Nope, can't resist!

She has quite a large -- ehm -- collection of works. I was quite surprised, I was expecting some grainy footage from a VHS from the 90s or something, but what I saw was unprecedented. There's even a 45 minute montage clip of "happy endings" shall we say. Ok, I'll stop now lest I get banned. |

I'm just rewatching series 1 again now, and I've only just realised that you're shown that Daenery's is a dragon straight from the first episode when she walks into the boiling bath, and again with the egg on the fire, and of course when Vicsery's dies she says fire cannot kill a true dragon. Just something I missed the first time around.
