Do you think the knowledge of your main pawn about monsters will rise as you fight against them or only if you discover their weaknesses? It would be interesting that depended on your performance and ability. I hope so, and also this is well implemented:
The main pawn learns from the way the player’s moves, will, and the decisions the player makes. ・When faced against a group of enemies, does the player take down the stronger enemies or the weaker enemies first? ・Does the player hesitate or go right into battle? Does the player flee? ・About how much damage will the player take before they heal themselves? ・At what time does the player give orders and what do they want? Every time the player does something, this will have an effect on the pawn’s thoughts and movements. To sum it up, the main pawn will not just look how the player wants them to, but the main pawn will also know the player’s likes and habits better than anyone else. http://www.capcom-europe.com/blog/20...y-as-you-play/ |

I really wish there was an option to create a jack of all trades type class ala Dark/Demon Souls. I really want to create a character that can use swords (not twin daggers) and fire a bow as well but oh well hopefully there are more hybrid or starter classes yet to be revealed.

It does. You can go sword and board, as well as daggers and bows. Or any mixture thereof. Plus, you have neat abilities like trip wires.
Confirmed right here starting at 18:55 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YimwPf0Fr3A Also, the footage at the start here shows the Assassin using daggers and a bow, plus the trip wire ability. Which is really nice. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cuHd6S2okEA

I'm confused about something.
We know that the pawns we hire are the main pawns of other players who are currently offline. But what happens if the player of which the hired pawn belongs comes back? Will it suddenly disappear from our game or there will be two versions one in our world and another in the player's world it belongs? |

Watched all 3 videos and damnnnnnn it looks really really good! I wanna see more melee action though...as my preferred class will always be Assassin.
Although I'm pretty excited about this game but I doubt I will buy it on Day 1, would be so occupied with Diablo III. And hopefully when I have the mood to play DD the PC version would be announced.... |

Did they confirm or talk about multiple endings? I thought I read something about that but I couldn't find it.
The game looks too good to be true, so I'm kind of skeptical there has to be a catch somewhere ![]() Since the level cap is 199, and they said you will probably get to around 100 in a playthrough, I'm kind of worrying that there might be a lot of post game DLCs, like Mass Effect 2, though this doesn't bother me if there is a new game+ and proper ending(s), I could just do that

I'm not sure, but I'm assuming there's NG+ as the producers mentioned playing through the game more than once with one character. There's also different endings/things that happen based on your actions in the story apparently, so it would make sense. I think I remember hearing it mentioned that the last quarter of the game or so could be radically different depending on what you do? I don't remember exactly, I think it was in one of the long stream recordings.

Just pre-ordered this after watching the gameplay video. When the guy picked up the villager and was like "Let's see if I can toss them into this well" and the person went splat on the ground... man, I died laughing.
Aside from something being horribly wrong with me, the game looks fun, especially with the night time aspects in it and making inns, time of day, and NPC's relevant to the overall game. I'll give it a whirl. |

Btw a couple of pages back someone asked if we can goof around and if the game is only based on combat.I think this video (which i haven't seen before) answers it: Slow life in Dragon's Dogma Also am i the only one who thinks this game has very good platforming? From what it looks like there's no auto grab shit.If you fail a jump from a big height you die. |

I hope it's a really self contained game like dmc4, it's by Itsuno so I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, none of those additional ending shit and stuff you're missing unless you pay. The game probably is not going to be perfect, but if it's a 100hr+ game, with enough variety of equipments, a new game+ and the combat is actually good and deep, man I'm going to be playing the hell out of it for years to come. |

You mean the RE6 demo?Surprisingly i don't care at all for it and i'm a RE fan since the first game (and i'm buying the PS3 version of DD)
But yeah it wasn't a very good move,i hope it doesn't make PS3 gamers to ignore DD because all things indicate that this will be a GOTY contender. |

We haven't seen much about the story, and Capcom tends to put out some pretty terrible stuff in that department. I'd hate to see them shove some really bad plot in your face and ruin all the mystery and sense of adventure.

So maybe there's a chance it might not be too bad based on that, we won't find out until it comes out... I don't buy their fighting games either, I did buy sf4, I played with my friends for a while but when ssf came out we decided to stop, since you could tell the direction they're going with it , back in the days with SF2 it wasn't bad for me because I play them a lot, but now being a casual gamer, I don't really care to keep supporting them, so it doesn't affect me at the same time.

^i don't care about it either.:pI'm sure the game's content will keep me busy for a long while. For me locked DLC is a much more worse "sin".I'm also afraid the game might have technical issues like Skyrim for PS3 for example.Sure all videos so far seem to run fine but you never know after many hours of gameplay. This is Capcom's first try in this kind of game so i'm worried about it.
If it also has a decent story then it's a bonus for me.

Also, as stated before, it's probably one of those 'get real committed' to get anywhere games based on difficulty, and I only really dig that in turn based games. It looks similar to Capcom character action games with constant dodging and I'm kind of eh.. about it. Spell effects look gorgeous though. |

As for the difficulty, I think they said the game kind of appeals to players of different skill levels, Itsuno mentioned mage type characters are good for people who don't want to do a lot of those action games stuff like blocking, dodging and parrying, so there's that, I don't think mages even has a dodge, I'm not sure if it's too fun to play as a pure mage/sorcerer though since they seem to encourage you to change jobs. and we also don't know if the AIs are capable of helping you keeping monsters away, etc, if they could, it's probably possible to play a mage and still have fun, customizing your main pawn and let him do the action stuff without being too committed |
