It was brought up in the other thread that an acronym for NEO and then the GAF tag would be neat, too. Something like:

Not Even Organized [GAF]

Or whatever someone more clever than me comes up with. It fits without having to repeat GAF GAF in the guild name and tag.

If we don't go for the whole acronym thing though I'd rather it just be:

NeoGAF [GAF]

Personally, I'm not too fond of the whole "Believe" tag GAF uses.

So in terms of the name for the guild. It has been brought up several times but it always seems like there is never a firm answer. So let's take care of it now. I have always felt like the [GAF] NeoGAF name was good and easy, it represented the site, and not something we would get bored with or want to change. Does anyone else feel strongly in another way. I saw a suggestion for [GAF] Believe which isn't bad at all either.

There's three ways we can go with this; a serious-sounding name using the GAF (or NEO) initials, something that uses the initials but sounds kind of funny (but not offensively so), or just "NeoGAF" or "Believe" for simplicity's sake. I think we're all agreed that "GAF" will be the guild tag.

Just throwing these out there to give some examples.

Serious Sounding:
Gilded Age Force
Gaming Age Front (since we're not a forum, technically)
Guard Against Foes
New Elite Order
New Elonian Order

"Cheeky" Names:
Gentlemen Ask First
Geeks And Freaks
Girls And Furries
Garfield and Friends (thanks, Shakala)

I'm fine with anything as long as it's not offensive or annoying. I would also be okay if we came up something that didn't have anything to do with GAF if it was really awesome. My old WoW guild was named "Evil Shenanigans"; it's not too goofy but kind of humorous.

I think that because we will already have a tag next to our names that says [GAF] we dont need our guild name to be NeoGaf. I think people will get the hint when they see [GAF] and they'll know who we are. We have had pretty big gaf guilds in alot of other games and i think its safe to say we are kind of known in the gaming community, not necessarily just for the gamers behind the gaf guilds but at least for people seeing the gaf name around in other games. So i think we should have a different cool and fun name like one of the ones you guys mentioned earlier. Those are my 2 cents on the topic :-D

It's USERNAME [TAG]. The actual guild name doesn't show up at all. It'd only be for the guild as a whole

If there are enough european players wouldn't it be possible to create a "sister" guild on a european server to join just for the WvW? I'll have to try the beta first, but I fear things might get a bit laggy with all those players.
