Looking at the trailer, there's quite a few animals besides what was highlighted: -Birds -Porcupines -Horses (lol @ the racehorse) -Fish (Wonder how that works?) -Hippo -Giraffe -Kangaroo -Dinosuars! (Raptor and Pterodactyl) -Bears (Threat level up!) -And more! (Because I can't be bothered to do a whole list.) |

I really want that cover, my Korean Wipeout HD came with English on the disc, but other than that I have no idea what is the norm for this sort of thing.
Do first party Sony games with expected English releases from the Japan, Asia, or Korean regions typically come with English options on disc? I love DD, but for these unique eccentric games gotta have that sweet physical disc. |

There is 17 minutes of this game up:
http://www.vg247.com/2012/06/01/watc...ngle-gameplay/ It doesn't look fun at all really and kind of killed my interest in it. Think this game is going to bomb critically and commercially. |

It's also very obviously going to bomb commercially, and I think it will be divisive critically. There will be those who appreciate just how bizarre the concept is and how refreshing it is to try something different. And then there will be those who focus more on its actual game-like qualities, which might not be up to par. That's okay. Not every game is made for every person. The last game that's really been at all comparable on PS3 is probably Afrika. The video looked pretty interesting to me. I liked the day/night / weather stuff. I liked the idea that when you get other animals in your group you can gang up on enemies, especially when the pack of hyenas took down the tiger near the end of the video. Relatively few stages / areas were shown. I like that the animals clearly have very different playstyles based on what's shown in the video. I liked the little touches, like how eating meat restored a calorie meter. I liked what looked like a hybrid cheetah / hyena near the end of the video. I mean, you're absolutely right that the game seems to be pretty simple and not really engaging. But I think if you get in the kind of mindset where you can appreciate the atmosphere and just let your mind wander thinking about how crazy the concept is, there's going to be enjoyment to be had here. |
