For anyone that didn't already know, Xenoblade has last year's game soundtrack of the year. It'd probably have a good shot at this year's award, too, if we didn't decide to keep it from being eligible again :P

I'm conflicted, I want to wait for the price drop because I have other things to purchase at the moment but I fear that this game would get a limited press release. How good is this game exactly? Is it the full package? |

Oh I forgot this was coming out in NA soon.
I would be interested to see GAF reaction. This is one of the most hyped and universally praised games I've seen on this forum. But it has some pacing problems I can see people (especially non-RPG people who bought into the hype) will have serious issues with. |

It's very rare that I'm one of the guys that's played a game before most around me on GAF, but for all my NA Xenoblade virgins - you guys have no idea how awesome this game is. Definitely my favorite JRPG that I've played in a long time.
Pro-Tip: Try not to be overwhelmed by the excess amount of content to do & explore that Xenoblade throws at you, take your time and enjoy the beautiful atmosphere. I swear the vistas and music this game offer are so perfectly matched. I'm nearing the end of the game myself, coming up at about 100+ hours and I'll probably play through it again at some point. |

With regards to waiting for a price drop, since this is a GameStop exclusive I wouldn't count on it getting one. The shipment will be pretty damn small and any future shipment would probably hold the same price. |

Still a long time; dozens of hours at minimum. You could probably blow through it in ~45-50 hours if you really, really wanted to, but once you start playing you won't want to.

GOTY 2011 for me, by a very fair margin. all this Kid Icarus talk is making me insane... I wish this game was available here in Brazil already :( |

Good stuff, I'm definitely going to take my time with it and try to do as much as I can since I won't have anything else to play. Well, there's witcher 2 for xbox but I already beat it for pc so it's all Xenoblade until D3 and Dragon's Dogma.

I think you would have to be absolutely blazing to do that though. Like no sidequests, no talking to people, no exploring etc. Avoiding any distractions in this game and only focusing on the main quest is probably pretty hard to do honestly. Its incredibly easy to sucked into wandering around and exploring the environments since they are so interesting.

That's the only review you're going to need. Seriously. I expected the game to be good, but I was blown away with just how good it was. Fantastic storyline, amazing art, wonderful music, likeable characters and most importantly, it felt complete. No crappy DLC, no expansion packs. It's packed with a ton of content and it's all there from the start. |

Eh, the Japanese and EU/AUS ones were both OTs, and both are in community. I thought just a plain OT would be sufficient.

Monado Archives (ISBN 9784048702003) is the "real" Xenoblade artbook. It's only available in Japanese and French, and the French edition is quite rare and was never for sale.

Thought it was a great game; not perfect and had a few issues, but enjoyable nonetheless.
Hope you guys enjoy it, but try not to let hype get to you! :D

JRPG of the Generation and one of the best games in general available on the Wii. Excited to double dip on the US version finally. Actually have 2 copies preordered, one for my sister and one for myself.
Have a good 130 hours or so logged on my import Euro copy, so I'm probably not even going to play my US version. It's purely just "to have." |
