AdultSwim: Want Toonami back? Let us know. (Toonami fans mobilize!)
#1
![]() https://twitter.com/#!/adultswim/sta...04036824834049 There were a lot of "save Toonami" campaigns right after it went off the air some years back. They did, well, nothing. But now Williams Street and Adult Swim are giving those who care the golden opportunity to make their voices heard about one of the most beloved programming blocks (formerly) on television. Retweet @adultswim, and use the hashtag #BringBackToonami. The April Fools thread got thousands of posts and views; if each of the guys in there could post to this Twitter account then that would be a great start! The ONLY fucking evidence you need for why you should do this: Mad Rhetoric Okay, one more: Tougher Than the Best, Stronger Than the Rest This could be your last chance for freedom and power!

Tweeted.
When I was a kid, I drew some DBZ fanart, wrote a letter and mailed it to them. I basically confessed my love and asked when new episodes of DBZ were coming out. I left my email. They emailed me back saying when new DBZ episodes were airing and that they were gonna air Dragonball. They probably showed my art on TV. Toonami was the best. I still have VHS tapes of when I used to record Toonami. DBZ, YuYu Hakusho, Rurouni Kenshin...so awesome. |

I met one of the top Williams Street guys at bonnaroo one year and he was super cool. Just chillaxin dealing with a bajillion questions about why some show wasn't coming back or why this didn't get more episodes. He was just so like I'm really glad you guys were into it but stuff just didn't happen that way. He wasn't dismissive, you could tell he was really glad these people cared but was just dying to say how it just wasn't working out.

I wonder if they could get a hold of older (late 90's early 2000's) anime they didnt put on there before like Serial Experiments Lain or RahXephon. Some BECK would be nice too.
Again obviously mix them in with the older stuff like DBZ, Outlaw Star and ect as well and dont air them all at once. |

This is tough for me actually. I was lookin forward to a fan project called Neotoonami that really had the feel of the original Toonami. But you can't really past up the chance to see Toonami on TV again.
If Toonami does return, hopefully there is a good mix of eastern and western animation. Also hope they could pick up Naruto Shippuden, since Disney XD seems done playing with it. |
