The dude made it sound like that he was a part of some big ad agency, but I would think that they would be located in America, seeing as he was saying he knew the Disney guys, but his English on here is really bad, I would think that they would speak English as their native tongue (maybe not I guess), or at least fluently, and I know some people don't care about grammar or punctuation on forums, but most of those sentences do not make logical sense.

its all about how much money can make. See there has been a move to preschool stuff because there are a lot of moms that need bottles, wipes and clothes for the kiddies. Nothing wrong with that. But that used to be a very small part of the business. Now its nearly half. The WWE has not diversified to the ad mens liking despite how successful Cena is to Vince. A majority of male toys didnt sell outside a select few *AHEM* and a majority on the shelfs are female toys and other trinkets. As much has CN has gotten boys - its has been older males more into video games. It took 16 years for Nick to finally lose to Disney in the overall ratings and the ad men are happy as clams...

But to be honest - IMO Toonami if they do the things i think there planning can be a game changer for the next generation. Maybe it would do what the FGC has been doing for a while - unify otaku and geek fanbases, and improve them both and maybe the business model in many aspects of the entertainment biz.

Well I don't know their corporate structure but there is probably a head of each division who answer to somebody or a group of people in charge of the overall channel space.

actually, anime is a loan word from france. The Japanese call moving pictures Doga - thats why you have the word Toei - Doga on many early anime works. The reason why the name stuck is because of the French-Canadian coproductions with studios like Topcraft and the like and the Original DIC.

When they got on that live action kick on Adult Swim, and the anime, when AS was airing new episodes of Code Geass and Moribito back in '08, got pushed back to 4:00 am.

Edit: I guess I don't know if that was their decision or the network's, but it still pisses me off thinking about.

Adult Swim became a really different beast back then didn't it? I'm not sure exactly, but I remember them basically going from a lot of animes like Inuyasha, Yu-Yu Hakusho, Cowboy Bepop, turning into Tim and Eric, Family Guy, all the Tim and Eric spin-offs. I remember that Auqua Teen was there as long as I can remember though, same goes for some other shows that got cancelled.

They basically went from half-funny and half anime, to full on funny.

I personally blame their decision to air shows that rely on the "every episode ends in a cliffhanger" style without being able to air the shows in a single run. When durararara, Code Geass, and FMA brotherhood went on hiatus I went to Hulu/Crunchyroll to finish watching them and never bothered again with watching it on AS.

I've said this before, but I want it to be a Saturday night thing, but that's for my own selfish reasons. (I usually work in the afternoons on weekdays, and Saturday night is perfect.)
