Oh how I would love for all board games to have not only persistent rating, but also match history vs. other players so I could remember my record against certain people. As it is Carc has the best stat-tracking out there but even then it's pretty high-level.)
I think I learned Fealty -- went through the tutorial which I thought was quite good though not quite comprehensive (kinda like the Carc one actually). So feel free to invite away. Heel can you add that to the spreadsheet when you get a chance? I'm going to swap it in for Hero Academy in the OP as well when I get a sec. Seems like a solid game though maybe a bit brainburny (so basically perfect for async).

Honestly for games like Carc doesn't really matter at all. I'm going on a two-week vacation in a couple weeks myself. NBD really that's the nice thing about async.
Yeah, I have had games take months before, but if I really want more active games I start up a few 2-3 player games with people I know are fairly active like astrolad, mercviper, Roxanne, risotto, bigwinnerx, Etc.

I need more practice with a lot of these...my bread and butter game has been Shadow Era to date. The main game I play on iOS these days, but Hero Academy looks pretty awesome. Ra plays really nicely on the iPad, and Ascension worked out well there with the asynch gameplay.

I have the lite version of ascension and I just can't get into it. I will give it another try though and then maybe buy the full version and get into some gaf games.
Playing a few ascension games, I think I have the basic rules down just not the strategy.
Couldn't figure out why people just don't hit the play all button until the time I had a card that lets you discard one of your own, but since it was at the end, I couldn't use it :(

I only ever use the play all button if I have no special cards in my hand, e.g. Only apprentices/mystiques/militia/thatotherknightguycard. Otherwise i like to plan out what I play when :pOriginally Posted by DukeSucks

And for the record I don't own any Carc expansions yet, so if I've turned down any of your game invites, that's the only reason why. Mike Works wants more game invites, invite him to your vanilla Carcassonne games

Yeah AstroLad I'd ask a mod to lock down the Carc thread with the new link to avoid any confusion. I think things will be a lot more active if we're all centralized in a megathread.

Nah you don't really need to go through the fuss when it's clear from the thread. I've been really impressed at how active this thread has been -- much more so than the Carc thread by itself. imo just need to make sure we keep discussing board game releases in the main thread and dropping links over here when necessary so it doesn't just stay limited to who's in here now.
Great OP, wow didn't think there were so many board games for IOS. I've really gotten into Neuroshima Hex as of late.
Fealty has me stoked because Asmadi also publishes Innovation, probably my favorite release from the past three years of boardgaming, and I totally forgot that they've started work on an iOS version. Send me Fealty invites! :D

I do not like Operation Erradicate. The UI needs a lot of work and the online multiplayer is unintuitive. It's a game that requires communication and collaboration, and this version of the game makes it hard to accomplish that.
Broke the games in the OP down into categories: Light, Medium, Heavy board games, and CCGs. Also added a Most Recent Additions section, currently with Fealty there.

In carc, is it worth buying the river expansion? I have it and inns&cathedrals in the physical game, but not sure it's necessary (have bought inns &cathedrals IAP)

The one thing that kills me about GC invites is afaict you can't see who accepted and who didn't (unlike game implementations of GC invites like Carc & Ascension).
On an iPad 3, there seems to be a small hiccup placing a follower on a tile in Carc. He goes on the piece, but about a second after i touch the tile. I guess I'll try completely restarting or something. Anyone seen something similar?

Won my first attempt at quick play in Carc. I felt bad though, the guy was helping me build my cities...ahhem...hahaha.
