WHAT NEW BOSSES`?????
Dark Souls does have equally memorable bosses IMO.. Gaping Dragon (dont say it was too easy, Tower Knight was even easier), Queelag, Sif, Smough & Ornstein, Nito, Gwyn.. loved all of them. absolutely brilliant stuff, i think From Software just cant fail with bosses as far as im concerned heh. |

Will be great.
I need gamepad though :(. My favorite fight was Allant as a sword/shield strength character. Felt like there was a pattern to him. In comparison to Gwyn who just mercilessly beat you down and you had to roll or parry constantly, or just use iron flesh. My favorite from Dark Souls was Sif. Love that fight. Least favorite is Smough/Ornstein, literally the hardest fight in the game, atleast on my melee characters (wasn't too bad on my pyro). Ceasless discharge gets runner up, just the dumbest fight where I still don't have a clue whats going on. edit: Solo on all the bosses. I'm almost 100% sure that they designed smough and ornstein to be done with one other person. Having both of them on you is just way too much.

I'm in agreement here. Towards the end of the game the Bosses in Dark Souls were very easy to kill. Overall I think I enjoyed the fights in Demon's Souls better.

Yeah, that's what happens the first 5-10 times haha. But apart from that, when you know what you have to do, Stray Demon/Demon Firesage can barely scratch you. The same happens with Gaping Dragon. I'm not saying that you can't die because, as with almost everything on these games, if you lose your focus for a few seconds you are dead unless you are too overpowered, but Stray Demon is the perfect example of a predictable boss fight that can't do anything to you if you use the right tactics. Hell, I wouldn't say Seath was hard either, but I still died a ton because after having missed a lot of tail-weapons I wanted to chop off his. After I managed to do that, the actual boss fight seemed a little too easy, and I don't see him being mentioned too often on these discussions for some reason. |

I also beat that optional dragon in the first world, it took like 40 minutes of me shooting arrows at it though lol. |

I was disappointed in the Nito fight in particular. For such a great visual design, he should have been a total motherfucker to beat, but he ended up one of the easier fights in the game. Felt like a waste of brilliant visual design. :/ Especially since he's also one of the final four guardian bosses.

Demons Souls bosses are not like that, each party circle the other, size their opponents up. It totally add to the atmosphere of the battle |

From the top of my head: Phalanx was pretty easy. Tower Knight was pretty though. Penetrator was also not that hard with help from the dude you save earlier (forgot the name). False King was a nightmare, nothing against him, lol. - Armored Spider had the fire blast that could trick you the first time, but aside from that, it wasn't that hard. Flame Lurker was a motherfucker, but constantly got stuck in shit (thank god, cause i was shitting myself). Dragon God is basically a puzzle. - False Idol was tricky, but if you stayed behind the columns with Thief Ring, she was doable. Man Eater was nightmare fuel for me, goddamnit. Old Monk also was a pain in the ass. - Adjudicator never hit me (melee) i stayed on his left, wacking away and i was done quick. Old Hero, with Thief Ring, also never hit me once, a joke boss. Storm King was hardly a boss fight (maybe i was lucky though). - Leech monger and Dirty Colossus were annoying, but there wasn't that much strategy involved, so eventually i just wacked them away. Garl Vinland also got constantly stuck on shit, so it was fairly easy. Dark Souls also had some piss easy Bosses (Gaping) but i can remember much more infuriating stuff (Sif, Nito, Four Kings, Seth, Smough&Ornstein, Capra) mainly because of the estus flasks (can't stock up on those), and because of tricky side effects (curse with Seth, unkillable skeletons with Nito, Dog with Capra). |

Did you Iron Skin him? I know I did right before the patch and after he kicked my ass three times, and I regret it. Dat Tomb of Giants is too much for me though, gah. |

Nope, just had a divine weapon with me to remove the smaller skellies and Nito was dead fairly quickly, honestly. I wanted that fight to be rough! |

I know i'm not good at it, but to consider it easy.. those giant skeletons were constantly ganging on me, i had to switch weapon, cause i had a lighting main weapon and a cheap ass holy claymore to dispose of them skeletons, goddamnit how i would've loved a paused inventory right at that moment. |

Ohhh, c'mon, I didn't know you could 2 on 1 Penetrator, that kind of sucks. I went 1 on 1 on him, beat him on my first try after 15 minutes or even more. As an almost pure melee character, I have to say it was SO GOOD. One of the best boss fights in general. Both Sif and Seath seemed kind of easy to me. Sif destroyed me when I met her barely 12 hours in, but 40 hours later I (sadly) kicked her ass. I still died to them more than once. I'll say that everything looks easier once you've done it, I remember wanting to choke a bitch while trying to beat The Four Kings, but now I look back and laugh :D |

It's Ornstein and Smough who I had quite a time with.
It was mostly because of Giant Ornstein. I would be able to take out Smough on a consistent basis without much of a sweat, but then big fucking Ornstein with his ridiculously long spear and fucking annoyingly insane reach would inevitably catch me with that lunging attack and basically one-shot me. What an asshole. I wanted that sweet armor though. |

Yes. Great news. Couldn't deal with console performance. Looking forward to this.

Seath may not have been that hard with the Thief Ring but dat curse made me so fucking nervous. Also Crystal Cave was a pain in the ass to traverse everytime (at least, until i learned how to run on the invisible bridges, without shitting myself).

Seriously though, Tomb of Giants was harder, cheaper, longer and more cruel. I simply wanted OUT of that place asap. Lost Izalith wasn't so bad. I wouldn't want any part of the game out anyway.

Fuck yeah! There was a small part of me that was still worried there would be no port...glad those fears have been put to rest. As a huge Demon's Souls fan, I hate to admit it, but I shelved Dark Souls about halfway through. Ever since the PC buzz started I couldn't bring myself to get back to it, but I'm so fucking back on it as soon as this bitch hits Steam.
