I also thought that the business guy was a misfire. He was a little too weird (not every character has to be a fucking psycho) and the guy wasn't a very good actor. The entire scene where he takes Jenna and Marnie back to his place was very off, tonally speaking. And the scene where they're on the rug was the worst.

I liked everything with Adam though. He's actually a human being! (although he's still gross/weird.)

Yeah, we got the point at the bar, going back to the guys apartment was serving no purpose other than to try to be funny, and it was one of the few times this show had got that wrong.

Other than that, this episode was very solid, and as has been mentioned, Adam turned into the best character.

Chris O'dowd's tantrum was the funniest part of the series so far. I swear he channeled Will Ferrell.

I love the music on this show. I really liked the song that played at the end of the most recent episode, so I checked the band out (The Vaccines) and it turns out they're pretty damn good.

A few episodes ago they used a track from the Vita version of Lumines and got all excited. It was that twee "bang bang bang" or whatever song. I'm bad with names. Other than that, they play songs that I usually recognize. Having connections like that make it easier to get into a show straight up.

Hey, Jessa wasn't awful this episode! She was actually somewhat likable and funny! Progress!

"There's no way that's your fuckin' nose! There is no cartilage in the world that exquisite!"

I liked the business guy. He was a little awkward and weird, but so is pretty much every other character on this show. Him making fun of her hat was great. The only flaw, I thought, was how his Irish accent was showing when he got angry and that just made the character seem weirder than otherwise.

No reactions from anyone? That's a little sad.

Hanna is still a horrible human being. Some of the shit she said at the party was messed up. I'm kind of excited to see how everything turns out on the season finale.

Most of the dialogue on this show is. This was easily the worst episode of the series so far. I didn't think it was possible but the show got even more inauthentic.

This show definitely has some pacing problems with scenes going on too long (carpet last week) or having weird amounts of dead air (fight this week), but it's still really funny and the consistently best looking television series since Lost ended. Jody Lee Lipes is murdering this shit every week.

I said consistent. Trust me, I've been watching my BB blu rays all week. It has great shots and it also has totally boring and/or off kilter ones. You can't just expect New Mexico to do all your work for you if the camera is still like 1/36th off the horizon line.

After a stellar episode last week they really fucked things up this week. Last week was one of if not the funniest episodes of the season and then you give us this shit?

Fight at the end of the episode was just terrible.

Worst episode of the season. It hardly had any plot.

That fight was way overwrought. They looked like they were trying to hide back laughter during it.

Overall, I wish there was more of a general, overarching plot for the show. You can base a series on post-college urban ennui...

Yeah. I agree, this was definitely the worst ep of the season. Nothing really happened, it all just went nowhere.

Also lol @ "best looking television show" hyperbole, I guess its convenient both Game of Thrones and Mad Men are now off air.

Some funny moments but def' wasn't as enjoyable as the others. Love Jessa's reality check. She honestly feels the most real out of all of them, can't believe I wasn't feeling her at first.

Mad Men is almost 100% shot on a set, so it's handicapped by that. I think Kings Landing is a bit oversaturated, cinematically.

Should I change it to "My favorite looking television show"? Will that make you feel better?

I was fine with Hannah's character until that fight. It's a pet peeve of mine when people respond to other people being angry with them by plugging their ears and screaming. "Oh, so you're mad and me? Well guess what motherfucker, I'M WAY MADDER AT YOU!"

Try being introspective instead of just running your mouth.

Maybe not, but going into the fight I think she had a legitimate gripe about Hanna not paying the rent and having to be the focus of any room that she's standing in. Hanna responds by closing her eyes and flailing her arms.

Exactly, that fight was refreshing because it was like all the viewers' complaints about the narcissism of the characters were being thrown at the characters themselves...in a very narcissistic manner.

I really didn't like the first part of the fight in the bedroom - it felt like they shot the two parts separately without the other person in the room.

Well, for me, i meant more that it didn't feel very natural or genuine. In general I think it's a well acted show, so that whole sequence really stuck out to me.

Yeah, the fight felt very realistic to me. You could tell a lot of effort went into making it sound genuine. It has all the weird hypocrisies and inconsistencies that tend to occur when real people argue.

Yeah, makes for some frustrating viewing.

Most 'stuipid' flights IRL will be settled very quickly though, like the next day. At least in my experience.

Edit: Wow, I did not know Hanna was also the creator of the show.
