Okay guys finished watching Fourze which was good though the plot wasn't that deep it was more about the characters. Can anyone recommend any more good Kamen Rider series (Heisei era), I've heard W and Agito are the best one's should I start with those series? Think I watched the first two eps of W a few years ago and remember liking it. I heard that Kiva is terrible so I guess I should avoid that.

W is good at about everything except for fights. Agito is good stuff. Kabuto is one to recommend.

Check the first post, has a lot of recommends that for the most part I agree with :P

Kiva is not terrible, it was my first Rider series. I thought it was fine, but I can see why people would not like it. I think it's mostly the main character. It's typical anime kind of main character imo, so I found it totally fine. The plot is not that solid though and it keeps switching between plots.

W and Agito are both great, W is really enjoyable. One of my favourites.

Also I watched Wizard on the weekend, enjoying it so far. Can't wait for more!

I've seen a couple of NeoGAF members with Power Ranger and Kamen Rider avatars that don't post in this thread, a new thread might attract them. But we are such a small part of GAF, even subgroups like AnimeGAF that outnumber us by the thousands can't sustain their own threads for specific subs.

Having new yearly threads is probably the best way to approach it. It's better than what we had before, which is one thread that lasted from 2009 to the day this thread was posted in April 2012. It was so small, no mod even bothered to move it to Community (assuming they even knew it existed).

Work on the new OP has begun (hopefully one that isn't so confusing), and I thank all of you that contributed gifs.

Wizard 1 was pretty dull. :/

It was a first episode. And it was more eventful than Fourze 1 by some measure, it just didn't have as charismatic a lead to fall back on for the rest of the episode.

That was really my biggest problem. Haruto felt..bland. Nothing about him or the detective lady really hooked me, so the episode lost me.

Finally watched Wizard and really enjoyed it.

Stuff I liked:
-Doesn't really look all that bug-like which is one of the things I really didn't like about Kamen Rider, in fact I really like the design of the suit
-Summoning stuff from Wizard portal things was pretty cool

Stuff I didn't like:
-CG was fug and there was a lot of it (mostly the battle at the end that stuck out to me)
-Singing belt is annoying as hell

I thought the hand on the belt and gun looked a bit weird, but I guess it makes sense so whatever.

I'll be watching next week's episode.

I really enjoyed episode 1. I was hoping for a little more action and it was kinda taken away for a little while with the drama stuff and that cgi battle...other than that I loved it. Now just can't wait to see the real bad guys etc. further into the series. Not the best first episode, however it did have some great humor in it.

Jyuden Sentai Kyoryuger (獣電戦隊キョウリュウジャー)! Trademarks for what seems to be next Super Sentai series seems to be have registered under the ID 2012-65209! Jyuden consists of the two kanji characters, beast and electricity, while kyoryu means dinosaur. So the next Sentai series is most likely another dinosaur based show.

Well, Abaranger was around 10 years ago which is a bigger gap than between Kakuranger and Hurricanger. Not saying it's definitely going to happen( I think it's pretty unlikely, especially with Gokaiger reminding people that there have been two dino teams already), but Toei have done worse.

It has been confirmed. The title makes the theme obvious. I mean, ten years since Abaranger, 11 years before that since Zyuranger. On the other side Go-Onger was 12 years after Carranger which was only 7 years after Turboranger....so if you average them together we're within the area.


See, the thing is Zyuranger and Abaranger were so different that this can also be so different. Zyuranger were dinosaur themed god beasts. Abaranger was more dinosaur-y with evolved dinosaurs. This sounds like they'll be more like MMPR was which was more technology-ish with a dinosaur theme.
