Uncharted 3 for grenade throw, and Journey for camera control. Both optional.

The concept of Lair is awesome. They just need more power to execute it. I hope to see a sequel someday even though I didn't like the first one.

I couldn't help but think that the LAIR engine and game direction would suit a RTS.

But yeah, dead franchise. As dead as dead can be. Dead.

It's weird that Sony abandoned the IP completely, there are a huge loyal fanbase for the original PC game still playing and modding it.

a sequel to Drakan (even if not on PC) or even a remake for the original will be great, using Star/Warhawk engine maybe can work and save costs.

You know, there are ways to appreciate Lair. We probably haven't seen ambition in terms of scalable level design again in this generation, and it could be really breathtaking in terms of the action scenes it created. You can also appreciate it as a lesson in game design: it's obvious Lair was started before they'd really thought the gameplay systems through, the lock-on system is a shoe-horned solution that absolutely doesn't work, and the dragon one on one battles are absolutely un-fun.

But people should try it. Most definitely.

This game was obviously a ploy to push 6-axis controls, I doubt any designer had this concept as their dream game. Maybe this means we will get Lair 2 when 4D comes out...

Factor 5 died because of Brash and Superman, they still had Wii games for Nintendo and LucasArts from what we know.

Troll thread? Game was pretty bland. Not as terrible as people make it out to be (once it received a control patch) but it isn't memorable in the silghtest...outside of it's amazing OST.

I actually kind of liked the gameplay in Lair (sans sixaxis). The story and characters on the other hand are as bad as Supreme Commander II (so bad it's painful). It needed more to the gameplay than dogfighting though (like Drakan actually... but good)

It's been four years and eight months since this popular game first released and despite mediocre reviews, I remember really enjoying this. Good graphics, nice presentation, okay story, and anything involving dragons is okay in my book. Plus its probably the best game on the PS3 to incorporate the sixaxis (compared to games like Heavenly Sword)
Uh huh.

I'm not talking about quality, I'm talking about the likelihood of these early PS3 exclusives getting a sequel, which in the case of Folklore is never going to happen because no one bought it.

edit:

also on ps3

fuck that name, though
That's actually a very decent game. Nice flight mechanics. Not a fun name to say out loud.
