My first thought when seeing the image wasn't ice, it was gold. Like a close-up of the gold texture they use on Kratos' armor and various other places.

Announce/tease it now, show it in some substantial form at E3. The mindset that they should hold back all the info for an explosive E3 announcement seems to be tied to the idea that each platform holder is trying to "Win E3" which is surely true to some extent, but this late in the cycle "winning E3" with PS3 and 360 games isn't nearly as big a deal as it was a few years ago.

As far as I know, Sony doesn't have a big holiday title lined up for PS3 - maybe announce it now and push it out for November? We've been hearing about GOW4 rumors forever, maybe it's almost done.

Edit: Well, they possibly have The Last of Us or maybe TLG, but I don't think TLG would do well against RE6/AC3/BLOPS2/etc.

God of War 3's ''cliffhanger'' ending deserves a better ending with more closure. Let Kratos die in the end of this one and be done with it. I am rooting for this company to create an awesome viking game in the likes of GoW.

Vengeance has been a theme throughout the series. No reason to think it signifies Vita this time.

Not saying it won't be a Vita game, just that this isn't a good reason to think so.

I read all the GoW talk and it reminds me of three things:

1) I still haven't finshed GoW on the GoW collection
2) I still haven't started GoW2 on the GoW Collection
3) I bought GoW3, but still haven't started it.....

yeah, it totally seems like god of war. the font is different though, so i really hope it's a god of war set in different mythology like ancient china or egypt. i'm sure it's hopeless though.
