I can see how essentially releasing 5 new "Firefight-like" maps each week for a few weeks would be enough content to last for a long time... it's just weird that the new mode will only see new content for a couple weeks considering the likely lifetime of the game. I understand it's a ton of content (especially considering the story-telling part of it), but if it's replacing Firefight then you'd think it would be able to stand alone for the duration of game's life (which I'm guessing it will). Guess we need more details... |

Impressions from playing it for the first time at an event might come into play there. I don't think either of those numbers are right (the 8 round mag for the pistol is probably sadly true though).

I mean, Nintendo is catching up in other areas that they need to. But they did just announce that they're going to title update MarioKart 7 now. So they're getting parity in the other areas they were behind Sony and MS with. |

The problem is the people who have played it have no idea why I love Halo, so their idea of "plays like Halo" might be that the AR is still there.

I've been keeping an eye out for comments that do touch on why I love Halo. Some of the impressions mentioned how fluid movement was, how agile they felt playing. I took that as a good sign after Reach.

I'd say that's correct, 343i are in no hurry to clarify that it's not the case despite a bunch of terrible aspects of that game returning

I think that's different for everyone too. Are there universal things that make Halo, Halo? It's pretty interesting to think about. I honestly feel like the graphical style is unique and that is one part. Shields is another big thing. To me there isn't a single Halo that doesn't feel like something other than Halo. It's a combination of things.

Here's why I don't like extraneous shit: it gets in the way of overall good competitive play. I'm one of those people who just likes a stripped down game with not that much shit going on. As such I guess I'll just be left in the dust when it comes to more and more games, since it's all about stupid gimmicky shit that I couldn't care less about.
