Metaphorical Dire information: Interstellar black holes #1

Do black holes affect us? There is evidence that they DO NOT affect us. But what if you could feel them from here? Please, no claiming that I can't feel them.

isn't the center of the milky way a black hole?
if its proven correct, then yes it does affect us, and in the most fundamental way.

You wouldn't know if you were in a black hole, because the time it took to process that information would be infinity.

Given how high the OP must be, I doubt he'd know if he were in a hole in his garden for the same reason.

Of course they affect us. Our friends on Vulcan are dead because of a black hole man! Be more sensitive.

We have not even seen our galaxy in whole. Because we have not even left the galaxy only the solar system. I can assure you that the center of the millky way is not a black hole. The reason why I say that is because some might think it is a black hole.

A black hole has not been proven to be in any center of any galaxy. And a black hole has not been proven to affect such a size of the milky way. Laws of interstellar physics support this.
EDIT:The laws of interstellar physics Disprove the aforementioned points of not being in the center of a galaxy and not not having affect the size of a galaxy.

Also a black hole has not been proven to twirl a galaxy around such as the milky way

Black holes at great distances act no different than any other object--just a point mass providing a gravitational force.

hypothetically if the earth got sucked in by a black hole what would happen? Would we feel anything? Would we die? If we wouldn't die would we technically live forever as everything is infinite in a blackhole? Do wormholes really exist?

Yeah a lot of force. But never has been seen to affect anything the size of a galaxy. The milky way galaxy has more than millions of stars.

Actually around 300 billion.

Also, the Earth doesn't revolve around the sun. It revolves around a pivot point between our two gravities. Granted, that pivot point is well within the sun and close to the center of it, but its not technically the sun.

racist
if its too large for the black hole to consume it turns into a quasar and shoots excess energy out into space. I doubt we'd feel anything for long (assuming it just magically appeared next door to earth) otherwise we'd be pulled out of orbit and closer or further away from the sun.

The supermassive black hole in our galaxy is estimated to be around 4 million solar masses, which is a significant quantity on small to medium scales, i.e. when stars approach the center of the galaxy they tend to be flung out in very different trajectories. This affects the distribution of velocities of the stars in the galaxy.

http://adsabs.harvard.edu/abs/2008ApJ...689.1044G

edit: my point from my last post was that black holes at great distances produce negligible forces, e.g. the gravitational force from the black hole in our galaxy is probably comparable to that of a grain of rice on the other side of the world.

There is evidence in astrophysics that a black hole coulld not support a galaxy such as the milky way.
